One of our favourite Lebanese joints for a feed. With stores across Sydney, sadly not too many are close to our area of Botany. We were in Camden for a catch up with family and took the opportunity to pick some food up from the Campbeltown store. In an old Pizza Hut building, this El Jannah is huge but mainly operating for takeaway at the moment. Primarily known for their charcoal grilled chicken, and Lebanese sides like pickles, garlic sauce and bread, they’ve also got burgers, wraps, shawarma, and even some fried chicken. We order a family pack, where charcoal chicken is the main piece, cut into 8 portions as requested. The charcoal chicken is well seasoned and the chicken is tender. Served with a good amount of fries, garlic sauce, pickles, bread and 4 cans of drink. Additionally we get a sides platter with tabouli, hummus and baba ganoush, as well as a bag of falafel and of some of their fried chicken. At $100 for the lot, it served 8 of us and a baby so that’s really reasonable value. A great food option for an event too.

So unimpressed with El Jannah. I haven't been in a long time and rarely give a low review but today was just not good. Food took forever, which is fair enough as I ordered falafel. They stuffed up my order so food ended up being cold by the time I was home. They still managed to forget things anyway. The fried chicken was dry and almost inedidble. I even had the box open on the 10 minute drive home. I thought it'd be hot and juicy based on how long it took for the order. Their charcoal chicken was also dry and disappointing. There was a large stack waiting to be sold during peak. The falafal which I had a bite of in the car was also dry and bland. Which is a shame cause I recall them being nice once upon a time. Garlic sauce is more creamy than garlicky. The gravy I didn't order but got anyway was okay. Chips were nice while hot but had to be reheated in the airfryer. They definitely needed more trained people during peak time. So disappointed I even went next door to red rooster so I could at least have some fresh hot food.

I can't fault the taste of the food but the portions get more ridiculous by the day. I generally don't mind that the chicken is smaller because l prefer smaller chickens (l do think it should be cheaper due to its size since they pay by the kilo) however the burger having quarter size of the chicken breast is an absolute joke!!! Either don't sell that piece or add another to make up for the full size l feel completely ripped off. Please do better if l wanted only lettuce and mayonnaise l would go coles and buy it for a lot less

I recently visited El Jannah in Campbelltown, and I have to say, it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. This place is a gem when it comes to delicious, authentic Middle Eastern cuisine, and it has quickly become one of my favorite spots to eat in the area. If you’re looking for incredible food, friendly service, and a vibrant atmosphere, El Jannah is the place to go.

As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by the mouthwatering aroma of freshly grilled chicken and the buzz of happy diners. The restaurant itself is clean, modern, and well-organized, with a welcoming vibe that makes you feel right at home. The staff were quick to greet us with smiles and made the ordering process easy, even during what seemed like a busy time. Their efficiency and friendliness really stood out to me, and it set the tone for a great dining experience.

Now, let’s talk about the food—because it’s truly the star of the show at El Jannah. I ordered the famous charcoal chicken, and it did not disappoint. The chicken was perfectly cooked, with a crispy, flavorful skin and tender, juicy meat that practically melted in my mouth. It’s clear that they know what they’re doing when it comes to grilling, and the result is nothing short of perfection. The garlic sauce that came with it was absolutely divine—creamy, garlicky, and the perfect complement to the smoky flavors of the chicken. I found myself dipping everything into it!

I also tried the falafel, which were some of the best I’ve had. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, they were packed with flavor and tasted incredibly fresh. The sides, including the hummus, tabbouleh, and pickles, were all equally impressive. The hummus was smooth and rich, the tabbouleh was bright and refreshing with just the right amount of lemon, and the pickles added a nice tangy crunch to the meal. Each component was clearly made with care, and together they created a feast that was both satisfying and delicious.

The portions at El Jannah are generous, and the prices are very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food. It’s rare to find a place where you can get such high-quality, flavorful meals at such a good value. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or settling in for a full meal, you’ll definitely get your money’s worth here.

To top it all off, the service was excellent. Even though the restaurant was busy, the staff were attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Our food came out quickly, and everything was fresh and hot. It’s clear that the team at El Jannah takes pride in what they do, and it shows in both the food and the service.

Overall, I can’t recommend El Jannah Campbelltown enough. Whether you’re a fan of Middle Eastern cuisine or just love good food in general, this place is a must-visit. The combination of incredible flavors, friendly service, and a welcoming atmosphere makes El Jannah a standout in the Campbelltown dining scene. I’ll definitely be returning soon, and I encourage anyone in the area to give it a try—you won’t be...

Date of visit: Sunday 20/11/22, around 5:00pm

We ordered 3 fried chicken burgers with extra sauce, and one fried chicken burger with an extra patty. We received four burgers, but they all came out cold and without the extra sauce we asked for. Further to this, the double patty was missing.

After pointing out the mistake, the servers offer to replace the missing patty. The server disappeared for 15 minutes and nothing came back. At this stage it had been 30 minutes since I'd ordered my burger and I was getting annoyed. I approached the front counter and explained that it had been 15 minutes since they took my burger away and I still hadn't received a replacement. They gave me some excuse about having to defrost the burger before cooking it (as if anyone would ever need to defrost a fried chicken patty before putting it in the oil - you don't fry a soggy patty).

After arguing with them, I gave up and asked for a refund. I was too frustrated to eat and didn't want anything from the store any more. They offered to give me a refund, and asked me to wait 5 minutes for them to serve other customers.

Five minutes later, they came up to my table and gave me a replacement burger - which it took them 20 minutes to make - acting like it made everything better.

My dinner was ruined, my whole table had finished eating and I'd argued with them and been lied to about the time it takes to make a fried chicken burger, then they have the audacity to give me a burger instead of the refund they agreed to.

I gave the 35 minute burger back to the counter, and told them I wanted my money back, as they'd ruined my dinner. They brought the money to my table five minutes later, and the server gave me a dirty look as she left it on the table

As a Lebanese person, this is embarrassing. This isn't El Jannah, it's more like El Jahannam. Either serve your food the way an Arab would, or change your name and stop pretending. As if you'd give your customer a dirty look because they're upset after you stuffed up their order, and then stuffed up their replacement. This isn't Arab hospitality,...
