Went for a 3 course birthday lunch for my husband. The atmosphere and the decor is really lovely. The staff were friendly and helpful. Food was quite nice. Unfortunately, I ordered an eye fillet to be cooked rare, but when I received my steak, it was definitely cooked medium. I ummed and ahhed over whether to say something. I eventually politely requested to clarify with the waiter who was kind enough to take the steak back to the kitchen to check for me. I was told that the chef had said ā€œthat’s how we cook rare hereā€. The lovely waiter did offer to have it redone as ā€œblueā€ for me, but I declined. I was just insulted that the chef would suggest that the steak provided was rare when it was very clearly not rare. There is no such thing as ā€œour version of rareā€. It’s either rare or not. We ended up deciding not to order dessert as we just wanted to finish up and leave after that. It was such a shame as the rest of the food was delicious but the arrogance to suggest that the steak WAS actually rare was just very off putting.

l Visited this place recently and found the experience somewhat underwhelming, especially considering the price. We ordered skewers for $40, which included four small pieces - the lamb was decent, but the chicken was just okay - served on flat pita bread accompanied by a modest salad and a small serving of tzatziki sauce. Unfortunately, the only utensil provided was a blunt butter knife, which was impractical for cutting. Notably missing were the usual sides one might expect at a Greek restaurant. My wife opted for the $25 octopus dish, which turned out to be four small pieces with a bit of sauce. The entree included pita bread with a small bowl of rather bland olive oil, which was quickly depleted. Additionally, my wife’s gin tonic had an unwelcome visitor (a fly), and the replacement lacked gin entirely. Given the overall experience, we’re inclined not to return.

I am thanking everybody in Enigma who made our son's birthday party very special. You have amazing food. The lamb shoulder was delicious. It was cooked to perfection. Nothing to fault with your restaurant and we will always keep coming back. The staff were giving great service to us and our guests. Carlos and Reina did absolutely a wonderful job. We liked the owner too. He is a social person with a unique taste. You could see that clearly by looking at the carefully chosen furnitur to make the relaxing atmosphere possible. Thank you so much for having us the night of 12/02/2020. Meriwan, Yasir and Zanyar. Zanyar's First Birthday Party

Came with my daughter for my 40th dinner. Ordered lamb shoulder for me souvlaki for my daughter. Lamb was tender and cooked well, just no flavour, none. Potatoes, cooked perfect, but they were just potato's, no lemon, no garlic, nothing. The broccolini was the best part of my meal. They did offer me something else, but I didn't have much hope for anything they could offer, so I opted to just send it back while I watched my daughter enjoy hers I tasted my daughters souvlaki, very nice and flavourful. She enjoyed it, I wish I ordered it. Got The bill, bit surprised to see that they still charged full for the lamb, maybe it's just my but I would have at least took $5 off. Anyway, I didn't say anything and just paid. My whole family are Greek, I grew up and still eat Greek. I've never had lamb so flavourless. Whoever is marinating needs...
