Been to this place at 7pm 5th Nov 2020. 1. This is a “Japanese food” restaurant operated by non-Japanese. Which is alright since there plenty of good Japanese restaurants operated by Korean or Chinese. But this is not one of those. 2. There was scam on the quantity of food. Please check my second photo. The ox tongue which showed on menu said 150g. It’s only like about 50g quantity. It was the first time ever that I was so regret I did not brought a jewellery scale with me to weight a dish!! Same was the other dishes. 3. Food tasted bad bad bad. All food tasted even worst than my own cooking. You know, if a chief can’t do better than you or your mum, he is just not a proper chief. And he should reconsider his career and stop cheating customers. The ramen was the worst ever ramen I had eaten, seriously. 4. Service is also just bad, slow and unresponsive. It took us 15 mins of waiting for the first cup of water. And it was actually not that busy at that time. Refilling of water also got me to wait for another half hour. 5. Environment... If by saying decoration. Okay it’s the only one part I would not say bad. However, if you consider reception of mobile signal.. oh... that’s horrible.. I felt I have been just got into a cave. 6. Price. It was not that bad. But considering the quantity of meat you getting comparing to the price you pay for it. It’s just such a scam. Written on 30th Dec 2020. It has been almost two months since I been to the place, but however all the bad experiences still not even fade any. I feel I ought to alert anyone who might wanted to try this one.

Ordered: pork tonkotsu ramen, pork okonomiyaki. Compliments: staff are really friendly and serve with a warm demeanour that reflects the Japanese theme of the restaurant (despite consistent mispronunciation of the welcome greeting "irashaimasen") Serving portions are generous for main meals. I didnt try the BBQ, but it smelled quite nice coming from other tables. I can only comment that the price was a barrier for me to try the BBQ, I'd rather go to a steak house and spend $70 on a 250g wagyu rib eye). Complaints: the pork ramen was served with what i would describe as boiled shredded pork (similar to what you would find in chinese hot pot). Chashu pork belly would be more authentic, but i note there is a definite fusion vibe to the menu. Also the egg, is a simple hard boiled soy sauce egg. The okonomiyaki was a bit too thick, maybe too much flour. Making it overly chewy and diminishing flavour. Did not notice much pork but it could have been minced very finely.

I went here to celebrate a BIG win for my mate! My first impression is that this is a nice Japanese BBQ restaurant located in the heart of Castle Hill. The décor is great and it has an authentic Japanese feel. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. Of course, you can expect the usual high-grade wagyu beef that you would find at any good Japanese BBQ restaurant. I had the Salmon Teriyaki, and tried some Okonomiyaki (for the first time), I was very impressed with both. We shared the BBQ beef which is a lot of fun to cook. Our table also ordered the warm sake which was served out of a tokkuri. Kampai! Look, I have to say the price point is in the higher range which is expected at this kind of restaurants, but hopefully I will be back here soon to celebrate another BIG win!! 5 Stars.

Google review doesn't allow me to reply you, Mr manager. But I am willing to confront, I left earlier and didn't yell at all if you read my review correctly. Your waitress kept apologizing to me, since she knew I've been waiting for 1.5 hours and she admitted your cook didn't do his or her job. I was completely upset because your waitress came and checked the order for many times (appreciate that) however she didn't know which dishes were missing. She asked me which was not served, which made me feel like the order was not passed to your kitchen correctly. However I still paid my bill and left earlier to pick up my daughter. I wasn't aware of any of my aggressive behavior, I am willing to review the surveillance camera with you and police officer. I do not think you can be the one who can speak of respect, and no surprisingly I find out it is a common complaint for being delay serve of meals. I think it was my fault to come to your shop, and never happen again.

I hope this restaurant can be closed, because of the way they treat their consumers. I am a returning customer, I liked the restaurant however the experience today was horrible. We were there to have a team building lunch, arrived at 1 pm and not many customers were eating. We ordered approx 10 bento boxes for each and some side dishes. The waitress was trying very hard to keep us happy but it took the cook 1’5 hours to unfinish the order. I cannot have it anymore because I need to pick up my daughter, I left with unsatisfactory and upset. I don’t see them value their customers, and do not understand why it took the cook 1 and half hours to finish a noodle. I probably would never visit this shop again in the rest of my life and I urge my friends not to...

It's not Japanese, it's not Korean. Not sure what it is.

For the price they charge, you'd expect for it to be charcoal bbq however meat is overpriced for gas grilled bbq. Premium wagyu meat is best when cooked in high flame wood charcoal however, expansive wagyu meat flavour is ruined by the gas flame.

For the premium price you pay, atleast it is expected to have the meat cooked for you at the table or atleast it come with side varietied of side dishes. None of this came with thr premium price you pay - I asked the man serving and the reply is, its Yakiniku. We'll, don't have korean marinated meat or hotpot bibimbab in the menu!!!

Ramen is below average (incl. temperature, broth, noodle and content) and hot pot bibimbab unedible (no seasoning to all vegetable and mix of vegetable lacking harmony) - fresh green lettuce on hot pot bibimbab? Obviously the chef doesn't know the difference between bibimbab and hot pot bibimbab.

Hence why I say its not Korean nor Japanese. Its a name only Japanese bbq, owned by Korean and cooked by what it appeared to be chinese chef.

I understand that it's been tough with Covid and I'm in support for restaurants having hard time but I feel like I've been robbed when the place lack in all three essentials - taste, service (experience) and...
