Last time I ate here with my friends everything was amazing but this time not only was the service slow, the servers were rude, blunt and uninformed about the food they were serving. We spent more time waiting for food to come to our table than actually eating. The wait time would vary between 30 to 45 minutes of no food coming to our table at all and there were other tables besides ours complaining about the unbelievably slow pace. The servers were not attentive and we barely received any table service. We were served a jug that we had ordered but were not given any glasses to actually drink it from. We had to physically go up to the kitchen counter (which we did several times as there was never any wait staff around) if we had any questions about the food. After spending a few hours there with an average amount of food given to our table a server came to ask if we wanted something specific from the kitchen to which we requested chips, grilled pineapples and their cheese bread. After almost 30 minutes the very same server we had ordered from asked if we were waiting for anything else, when we had informed her we still haven't received the dishes we had requested she replied without apology and said that she would double check and never returned to follow up. The chips arrived more than 20 minutes later and due to my dairy allergy I asked if the chips were just the plain salted ones without any dairy (they serve chips with cheese and without cheese) to which the server replied that theres no dairy and they're just the plain salted ones. As she placed it on my plate and the plates of my friends we all realised that they in fact had cheese, when the server passed by a second time I informed her of my allergy and that the chips she had served me had cheese, she still tried to insist that the chips had no cheese in them but when she looked down into the bowl she was serving them from she realised she was wrong and said "Oh yeah this one has cheese". I then requested that a batch be made that have no cheese in them which took more than 45 minutes to arrive and we had to remind the servers twice during that time that we were still waiting and that we wanted no cheese in the chips. Overall the servers were extremely unapologetic whenever we complained and were uninformed about all the dishes I had queries about regarding my dairy allergy. Whenever asked if a specific dish contained dairy they would be unsure and give a vague answer without having the common sense to double check with the kitchen. They were lazy and unprofessional and at times I could even see them talking bad about our table. While this place has nice food and drinks my most recent visit was so disappointing that I won't be...
Read moreEspetus Churrascaria is one of the worst restaurants I have eaten in a long time. We had a reservation and from the beginning the staff had an awful attitude. We were initially given water, Brazilian rice and what looked like Au gratin potatoes . Those style of potatoes I’ve never seen in Brazil. It took 30 minutes to get the drinks that we had to ask twice to order. The caipirinha didn’t even seem to have cachaça in the drink which is what makes it that drink. It was some muddled strawberry juice with mostly ice. The food started and as time went on I started timing them. On average it took about 4 minutes in between offerings. I’ve been to churrascarias in several countries including its place of origin. Normally you need to turn the sign off because your plate is too full. That wasn’t happening at this place. The restaurant took it upon themselves to stop serving us and we waited 25 minutes before giving up, paying the bill and leaving. My suggestion is save your money as this staff can’t be bothered to actually be a proper Brazilian Churrascaria. Below is a copy of the menu. Of the 28 items; 15 were not served all night. The following items were never offered at our table:
Pepper Rubbed Sirloin steak. Garlic rump cap with parsley flakes Beef with green chilli sauce Scotch fillet Lamb Rump marinated in Lemon & Oregano. Chicken thigh fillet in a traditional Brazilian Sauce Chicken Hearts. Salt and Pepper Calamari. Chimmichurri A mix of Argentinan Herbs & Spices blended with Garlic Vinagrette A Tomato Salsa with Olive Oil & Vinegar Green Chilli Sauce A Mild Green Chilli Sauce with Fresh Herbs Farofa A toasted Cassava Flour mixture with Bacon & Shallots Brazilian Black Bean BBQ Haloumi
The picture was how the night was. What an awful experience. If I could rate it a...
Read moreWe went to check it out, we were greeted and seated straight away. We were served coleslaw before anything was explained to us, we were confused as to why.
There was only a large drink menu on the table, so we were confused as to why we were given the coleslaw when we didn't order it and why other food was coming out to us. We had to stop a server to ask, what was going on, he then had to get another server to come and explain how the dining experience worked at this venue.
We had the coleslaw, rice and potatoes baked sitting in front of us before the server could explain that they bring the food out to us and we could just say yes or no to each dish. I then ask how the food is priced, that's when we were told it's $65 per person, for unlimited food.
We stayed because we felt rude to now walk out, with all the food plated in front of us.
With that said we really enjoyed the cheesy bready, potato bake and the steak with the cheese sauce, the pepper steak was pretty good too. What we really enjoyed the most was the BBQ banana and BBQ pineapple.
I wasn't the greatest fan of most of their meat options that they had available, there were quite a few dishes they didn't have available.
We ordered a jug of frozen Caipirinha, which is basically a margarita made with rum instead of tequila, which was nice and refreshing as suggested by our server.
The staff were all great, but the women server in particular was fantastic, she was friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable with their menu and what they...
