FLAMES CHARGRILL — Restaurant in Sydney

Used to work around Waverley and passed this shop every morning before it opened. Always wanted to try their chargrilled chicken.

Finally yesterday my gf and I planned to have it after coming from bronte beach. Made our way to Bondi junction.

Lasagne was good, so was the roasted vege. Chicken was a bit too tough, probably been in the display for quite some time which is understandable.

However what really disappointing me was “HYGIENE” problem. Tables were left dirty after people finished eating, no one came to clean and sanitise them. There were bird ooo and stuff on the tables that the staff had seen and ignored it completely. We found the cleanest table and the staff ran our food to our table and “set the cutlery on that dirty unsanitised table” without eye contact then quickly walked away. Service couldn’t be worse.

I acknowledge that it seems to be a chicken shop and has predominantly great reviews with a few negative outliers for the their chicken. Unfortunately I wasnt hungry for chicken. I’d been looking everywhere for a standard meat pie. Asked the guy at the counter if the pie on display was plain meat. He agreed. The pie was unfortunately not the plain meat pie I’d asked for. It included corn and peas, a strange curry flavour and atomised meat with a very strange slimy gravy . It’s left a strange curry perfume taste. While the meal was a disappointment It was nice to be able to sit outside...

I ordered biryani take-away but it was not as shown in the picture.it didn't look like biryani but just simple rice with no hurbs and only some meat. i complained about it to front staff and ask her to take it back but she refuse and just laughed. i had not touched or tasted the food. As soon as I looked at it my appitise was gone that is why I wanted to return it and buy something else for lunch.But the staff denied to take it back and return my money. Not very satisfied with the food quality, taste and attitude of the staff. I would strongly not reccommend this...
