We decided to have our evening wedding celebration at The Hive Bar as we were looking for a low-key, fun and local spot - we had the perfect evening and one that our guests loved!! Lara was a dream to deal with from the get go and it was a quick and easy process to get locked in. We were easily able to organise food for our guests with some great vegan options too. Lara provided us with a list of dj’s that we could secure and DJ Mikey Prince gave us the amazing and fun atmosphere we were looking for. Great cocktails, great communication throughout and a very memorable evening that was everything we were hoping for.

Food was awesome but unfortunately they were out of beyond burgers (our non-vegans friends were desperate to try them). We got the edmama burger and the chicken slaw burger which were good too. The best was the jalapeno poppers. YOU MUST TRY THEM!! Also has the deep fried pickles, cauliflower buffalo wings and poutine fries. Could eat these sides on their own!

I excellent destination especially for locals. Visited several times before for Lunch.

They've got winning Lunch specials you can get a delicious and generous size burger that doesn't bog you down which is rare for bars/pubs as I imagine other places make it as greasy as possible.

The chips are splendid, made on site and a complimentary boost to the burger. Seriously best burgers for great prices.

Really gives Bar Luca and other Burger Joints a run for it's money.

Kudos for the receiving, respectful and engaging manner both Adam and Dan conduct themselves.

Seriously well-done there Hive Bar 8 years in the running. And Hoping you enterprise well for many more years to come!

*Lived in Erskineville all my life and I've tried the feeds from surrounding competitors and I must say they come on top in terms of pricing and nourishing food.

I went yesterday sunday september 1st because I spent the friday night with my girlfriends and we loved it, but the man who was on the door yesterday was so rude. He just look at us and told us they were a lot of cops around ( why he said that? I dont know) Then he saw my bottle of water and told me I hope there is not alcohol inside and repeat there were a lot of cops around. I told him is just water because is a hot day today. Then he told us the pub was full. If we want to get in we should go upstairs. We went upstairs and was nothing, the music was downstairs and there was a table for 6 people empty. He didnt offered us nothing. Just warnings and warnings. If you welcome foreign people like that at the first sight is so wrong. Just look at us and I dont know what was wrong with us. Or what was wrong with him...
