Read moreWe arrived a bit after 5pm and the place was already full—lots of takeaway orders too. It was an especially sunny day ☀️ and many Western customers were enjoying their food outside while soaking up the sun. Considering the strong UV, we decided to sit indoors.
The restaurant has more than just indoor seating—there’s also a backyard area, which adds to its charm. As a corner eatery, it has a distinct character and cozy neighborhood feel. They have a separate brunch menu with plenty of options, but since we came around dinner time, we ordered from the main menu.
🔥 Fire Coconut – Signature Dish 🔥 This flaming seafood coconut pot was super fun and unique. It’s a fusion of Thai creamy curry sweetness with a hint of tom yum sour and spicy flavor. Sounds like a strange mix, but it actually worked really well! The “fire” is mostly for show—doesn’t affect the taste—but definitely adds to the experience. The coconut meat inside the pot was delicious too. Would recommend trying it!
🍍 Pineapple Fried Rice If you want it served inside a whole pineapple, there’s an extra $8 charge. We opted for the regular plating since we didn’t think it was necessary. The fried rice looked fairly standard but came in a generous portion. It tasted fresh and wasn’t greasy—well-balanced in flavor. We chose the beef version, and the beef pieces were surprisingly large and tender. Tasty overall!
🦆 Duck with Plum Sauce We saw this one highly recommended, but we were too full—definitely saving it for next time!
💰 A pleasant surprise at checkout They offer a cash discount, and the owner kindly rounded down the total. It felt really genuine and generous—small things like this make a difference.
Overall, this place left a great impression. Would love to come back and explore more...
Read moreI highly recommend this restaurant: We flew back to Sydney to stay overnight to fly back to America and had gravings for Thai food. We came across this restaurant in Google and attempted so many times to have door dash or Menolug to deliver our food but did not work out to say the least (long story..). I got frustrated and called the restaurant and spoke Daniel answered the phone (I think he is the owner of the restaurant). I am sure I sounded anxious and frustrated. Daniel was so patient with me over the phone. He even offered me one free appetizer, and he did not have to do that but he did. My mom and I decided to take Uber to eat at the restaurant since Daniel was so nice over the phone. When we walked in, he knew it was us and greeted with a big welcoming smile. While we were enjoying ourbdinner. I noticed that every customers that were coming into his restaurant, he seems to know almost all of them and greeted them like he greeted me. We ordered papaya salad, steam talepia (Pla Radpla Neung Ma-Nawprik Copy), sticky rice, and chicken wings that he gave us. Even my picky mom was happy with the foods. 😀 Oh, make sure you go to Daniel's restaurant (Full Moon Cafe Thai restaurant in ERSKINEVILLE) because there is another Thai restaurant that has the same name but in a different area that is not...
