Update: OWNER Change - won't go again 😫😥 RESPONSE to New Owners Comment: Actually not being able to split the bill isn't ideal (most restaurants do & it would have been 4 payments not 14 individuals...) But that wasn't the reason we won't be back! The food still tasted similar to the many many times we had been in the past which is good & the only reason why you maintained 2 stars, the main reason we won't be back is because the staff member serving us, keep staring at us to the point where a number of my guests said something as they were uncomfortable, he was also unable to take more then one persons order at a time - returning to the kitchen between each order, was snappy when asked questions about the types of beer available ECT...not to mention the price has significantly increased (see below what prices we are use to) & on top of that you charge a high card fee even for debit payments & when we decided to pay cash you still tried to charge the card fee. So overall I was disappointed & hence why we will find another place... OLD REVIEW: Wonderful experience!!! 5 Stars Seated & served fast! But that didn't compare to how fast the food arrived, I almost couldn't believe it :0) Now for the Taste! Yummo! But actually the kicker was the unbelievable PRICE 🤯 We had a medium pizza, lasagna, bruschetta for two, garlic bread, a tomato salad, calamari rings & chips all for $57.50!

NEW OWNER UPDATE We have been going to Franks from when it was in the other building when Franks owned it himself and then his nephew, over 20 years. We’ve had kids parties there and always met with friends - it was an institution. We booked a table for 8 last night. One of our friend was already there and said no longer BYO !! Always has been. The change was not communicated when I booked. Apparently the owner not happy that he makes no money on byo! But then he will lose business as we won’t be back our bill was twice the usual. Apparently they are setting up a small bar, owner doesn’t understand what Franks is about. Families with young kids and groups of friend all local to inner west , this is what’s made it popular a good reasonably cheap eat. Staff friendly but pushing for an order and not everyone had arrived. Pitza’s soggy! Internals looks good and our table nice. Sad to see this institution spoilt we won’t be back. OLD REVIEW Fresh, friendly and family owned We have been here countless times and the Italian salad, pitza and calamari are really good. The staff are nice and try hard to ensure you feel welcome. It BYO and you will get chilled glasses.parking in nearby streets and toilet on premise. Popular with families so if you want a bit less noise book for 7 pm and later. If your a family kids very welcome.

We were looking for a bite to eat after visiting the nearby brewery. The reviews were very good so we had high expectations. We were promptly seated on a Friday night at 6pm. The servers were attentive. We started with the Italian salad. I was surprised when it arrived that for $18 it was made with iceberg lettuce. It had sliced red onion, shaved carrots, olives, and tomatoes. It was nothing exciting. After finishing the salad, the salad bowl was removed from the table. I had to request the server to replace our plates for clean ones to eat our pizza on. The supreme pizza tasted good. We upgraded for $2 to the large. It didn’t seem that big compared to the baking sheet they showed us for a size comparison with the regular size. We requested the olives on the side. They are whole olives and we prefer sliced olives on a pizza. Overall, we were disappointed with the salad and the size of the pizza for the price. I wouldn’t return.

Been going here since before kids and went tonight to celebrate one of them turning 5. It’s always been a low-key, family type environment with kid-friendly menu that is what it is. Seems like ownership has changed, and with it, came a first in family restaurant experience for us: staff (new owner?) who gets irate at you when your order is stuffed up, and you dare raise this concern. One main came out just after the starter, so we waited and then asked about the other main. Told it would be there in a couple of minutes, so we waited. 15 mins go by and the missing main comes, only for it to be wrong. Politely mentioned this and got positively scowled at. Felt obligated to take the wrong main - hungry kids/ angry old owner dude and all that. Let him know our other main that was sitting was now stone cold - no apology, no offer to reheat/ replace. To top it off, our beers were taken away, without asking while they were half full. Same old angry owner vibe guy who grabbed the bottles by their openings, so there wasn’t even a chance to rescue them. Again we politely/ laughingly said something only to be huffed/ scowled at again. No apology. Was billed for the incorrect main and the beers. Won’t bother with this place again. Plenty of other family friendly pizza...
