Grill'd Burgers - Bondi Beach — Restaurant in Sydney

Wow just reading some of the negative reviews I’m baffled - there’s obviously some really prissy entitled people throwing shade at this place. My experience is the opposite: I’ve been coming here frequently (sometimes 3 times a week) since they opened this franchise about 18 months ago. Consistently the service is excellent and the food is great. I’ve noticed that they tend to hire really good staff - responsible workers with great attitude. I always find them to be positive and friendly in an authentic unforced way that’s true to their individual personalities. At busy times (eg weekends @ 6-7pm) the app’s ETA can be a bit optimistic, but tbh it’s the same with any online food ordering situation, there’s surge periods when they get slammed. Grow a pair and be patient, nobody died from waiting for a while for their burger! The shop itself is nicely fitted out, with the outside tables being a great way to get sun and people watch, and the booth tables next to the window being a chill place to do some laptop stuff whilst watching the world go by. Had the classic burger and regular sweet potato fries. Burger was delicious but chips were greasy. 28 Sep 24 at 2:45-3:30pm. One of the worst Grill’d experiences. I have eaten at Surry Hills and Bondi Jct and staff have been friendly and welcoming and tables clean and tidy. This one in Bondi had two three tables full of dirty cutlery and trays. We walked in and one the empty tables that we chose had crumbs on the top. We had to wipe them off ourselves. Our food was late in preparation despite being the only patrons eating at this location. A single waitress was seemingly on duty. A second one walked in and changed into her t-shirt in full view of my seating. She was wearing a grey and black sports bra and ripped jeans with huge holes. She and the other waitress were chatting instead of working. No tables were cleaned until we were halfway through our meal. Our food was delivered by the sports bra waitress who didn’t make eye contact or ask us if we wanted or needed anything else. She went back to chatting on the back. Terrible. Will not...

Visited for lunch and left a bit underwhelmed.

I had the Simply Grill’d burger, which was honestly quite bland. The patty was overcooked and a bit dry, not really my style.

The chips were the best part: full of flavour and nicely seasoned.

I ordered a Fanta, but was given something similar without being told it wasn’t actually Fanta. Not a big deal, but a heads-up would’ve been appreciated.

I spent a couple of minutes standing near the menu before going in, and no one approached or encouraged me to come inside. Once I walked in though, service was quick and they directed me to a seat. I ordered at the till, paid straight away, and the food was served 8 minutes later.

After finishing my meal, I waited a few minutes to see if someone would clear my plate or acknowledge me,but the staff seemed disengaged, so I left without anyone thanking me or saying goodbye.
