I'm really a big fan of egg noodles especially if it is flat! It is extra springy and gives you that character which absorbs and carries the sauce with every mouthful!
This is a perfect match with happy_chef_sussex 's #37. It has a mixture of flavoursome beef tripe, brisket and wonton. You can also get other types of noodles (rice noodles/thinner egg noodles) too but I think this is likely to be the most ideal one for dry noodles. It is a bit similar to mazesoba but with the sauce of the tripe and brisket. Personally I found the sauce was a little too much so I sprinkled some of the clear soup to dilute and mix the noodles. Other than that I love the tripe and brisket - they are one of my favourite food!
The bowl is $18, which is a decent price for noodles nowadays. The portion is very generous and I think the taste matches the price tag. Coming from an asian background, I found this relatively authentic and I enjoyed it very much.
No hesitation in returning and in fact, I am going to take my parents there as I think they will appreciate it!

Have heard about this place for a long time but never had a chance to visit till today. After some due diligence, my expectations were high but a little more modest for a place listed as one of the best cheap eats in Sydney.
I would agree with recent comments stating that portion size has decreased as I thought the dishes were not very filling. In terms of quality, as a food court establishment, I think it's pretty good. Flavours are decent and ingredients are solid.
Overall, in the city, this is a good place to hit up if you're on a budget.

I’d ordered their combination Laksa, and at $19.80, it is a well worth meal for the portions they’d served. The bowl was large and filled to the brim with egg noodles, and combination toppings. Amazingly, all the ingredients felt fresh. The seafood wasn’t your typical flash frozen stuff-thawed but had genuine flavour, and size to it. Additionally, the other ingredient were just as good, and you could tell they were generous with their portions—albeit skewed towards a larger noodle content. The broth was thick and creamy, the coconut milk taste was definitely there, and I’d avoided the watered down stock laksa that you dreaded from anywhere else. The experience was amazing, and I’m more than happy to recommend Happy Chef to anyone visiting sydney. Unfortunately, only plastic spoons and wooden chopsticks, however don’t let that ruin...
