it was an extremely disappointing experience from start to finish. Poor Quantity: We paid $156.70 for a dinner for a small family of three, yet we left the restaurant still hungry and unsatisfied. The portions were inadequate for the price charged. Poor Quality and Tasteless Food: The food was absolutely tasteless and lacked flavor to a great extent. Every dish we tried was bland and unappealing. Untrained Staff: The staff appeared to be untrained and unprofessional. They made a mess while cooking, wasting a large amount of food in the process. Shockingly, the chef even spilled a bowl full of fried rice on my clothing, leaving a stain that I have been unable to remove. Unethical Behavior: When I notified the owner of the incident, he completely disregarded my complaint and rudely responded, "Do whatever you want and write the worst review possible. I don’t care." Such unethical behavior is unacceptable and highly disappointing.

We came here to celebrate my dad’s birthday, and the staff were welcoming and provided great service. The older chef was also entertaining, which made the experience enjoyable. However, the food was disappointing. We all ordered the matsu set. We were all left unsatisfied, and honestly, still hungry by the end of it. The portions were extremely small—likely not enough to fill even a child. We paid around $320 for six people, and in return, received just two prawns, a few small pieces of steak and chicken, and a bowl of stale & tasteless fried rice each. Not worth the price at all. You really only pay for the entertainment, but even that isn’t worth it. Not sure how this place is still running with customers. Also, don’t be fooled with their EOY2024 $50 voucher that they have advertised on their website. You can only use that on your next visit if you spent over $500. Lol crazy

We paid $120 total for drinks and food. Sadly I believe it is overpriced for the food we received. The ‘entree of the day’ was very disappointing…. I was expecting a portion of karaage chicken or takoyaki, but we receive one piece of 'sushi' which was 90% rice with the tiniest strands of vegetables. You would expect at least some sort of protein in there but..... what is that. Rest of the food was okay, everything seasoned with garlic and butter - so nothing tasted special. Disappointing to pay $50 for the course, to leave the place half full. I guarantee you, you will leave the place hungry. And the reply you gave us isn't really helpful either. You want us to order additional sides??? and what pay extra $15 to be satisfied, that's already $65. You much rather go to towers and go sushi train AND get dessert with the same amount of money.

We arrived to dinner for my birthday with my girl friend dad and our 2 kids.

After the first entree there were large pieces of charcoal attached to the calamari and when my son ate it, it became lodged in the back of his throat. He immediately became distressed.

We hadn’t even finished eating the first round of entree and we had to leave to take him to get medical help.

We weren’t offered any discount whatsoever. when we called the next day to let the manager know what had happened and if possible to re book with a possible discount, seeing we didn’t even get to our mains and he turned it back and stated it is a parental issue if the charcoal got lodged. We didn’t blame the chef or the restaurant, but the manager was quick to shift a “blame” on to the parents.

To top it off the drinks were flat, the spring rolls were cold and old, the photos on google definitely do not match the aesthetic of the restaurant and we were still willing to return but the rudeness of the manager who is happy to take the full amount was quite defensive and had no customer service etiquette whatsoever.

I am not one to write reviews, I support small businesses wherever I can. I tried to reason and negotiate but they were not reciprocal or empathetic to the situation. $233 and we only got to experience a...

I recently booked a table for my partner's birthday. Firstly, to secure the booking I had to pay a $50 deposit. I then had to phone a day later as more people RSVPed than expected and we needed a table for 18. The woman who answered the phone told me in a rather prickly tone of voice that we'd all have to arrive at 6pm on the dot as we would all have to leave by 7.30pm as they have "2 seatings". I informed her that this was a special occasion and we certainly don't want to have to rush our meal and be out after only an hour and a half. Her response was to insult my intelligence by informing me that ALL restaurants have 2 seatings. I informed her that I eat out rather a lot and have been doing so for over 20 years so I know that this is absolutely not true. Once again I requested that we may have the table for the whole evening as we are a large party and would therefore be "worth it" for them. She held firm to the in at 6pm out by 7.30pm rule. My response was to cancel the booking and ask for my deposit back. MOST UNIMPRESSED. Although now I've read a few of the other reviews here that mention bad service and lack of hygiene, I'm quite happy to be holding my partner's birthday...

Went out to celebrate my daughter's birthday and booked to eat at 5.30 with front row seats facing the cooking surface.

The chef (we were served by the owner, Ronnie Cheong) put on a great show for us! The obligatory flaring brandy to start proceedings went down well.

We had the Matsu banquet, starting with an entree of a spring roll, sushi slice, and miso soup. Then the main! Starting with calamari and prawns cooked on the hot plate followed by chicken with bean shoots and finally steak. All dishes came with ginger and soy mixed with butter (Ronnie asked my granddaughter if she had seen the butterfly as he flipped a piece of butter straight into the mix). Then came the egg roll for the fried rice; this involved throwing eggs to the patrons to catch in bowls before cooking. Our end only dropped one egg. Then, small pieces of the cooked egg roll were flipped to all diners' mouths with a pretty good success rate. The remains of the egg roll went into fried rice.

We were finally tempted into sharing deep fried ice cream, highly recommended!

Altogether a...
