I am compelled to share my recent experience at Heshela Newa Khaja Ghar as it was unfortunately marked by what I can only describe as the worst customer service. From the moment I entered the establishment, it became evident that the service quality did not meet the standards one would expect.
Several aspects contributed to this overall negative impression. Firstly, the staff appeared disinterested and unresponsive to customer needs. Simple requests were met with a lack of enthusiasm, and it felt as though our presence was an inconvenience rather than an opportunity for a positive interaction.
Moreover, the communication from the staff was lacking in both clarity and courtesy. Basic inquiries were met with vague or unhelpful responses, leaving me feeling frustrated and undervalued as a customer. The absence of effective communication significantly contributed to the overall sense of dissatisfaction during my visit.
Furthermore, there seemed to be a lack of organization and efficiency in the service provided. Delays in attending to customers, mixed-up orders, and an overall sense of chaos further detracted from the experience. It is disheartening to witness such a disregard for the customer experience, which should be a priority for any service-oriented business.
In light of these issues, I feel compelled to express my disappointment in the hope that constructive feedback may prompt improvements. As a customer, I expect a level of service that aligns with the reputation of your establishment. Unfortunately, my recent encounter fell far short of those expectations.
While I understand that every business may face challenges, addressing these issues promptly and effectively will be crucial to retaining customer loyalty and positive word-of-mouth. I sincerely hope that my feedback is taken seriously and that the necessary steps are taken to enhance the customer service experience at Heshela Newa Khaja Ghar.

Read moreI am writing to share a deeply concerning experience that my friends and I had during a group lunch at your restaurant.
Food Quality Concerns:
The dishes we ordered—choila, sukuti, sekuwa, tass, and bhutan etc —did not meet the standards of authentic Newari cuisine. Most of the items were either overcooked to the point of being burnt or excessively tough and rubbery. While we were looking forward to enjoying flavorful, well-prepared food, the quality was disappointing. Spoiled Achar:
The achar served with the meal was clearly spoiled. When we brought this to the attention of the waitress, she replaced it, but the second batch was also off. Despite informing her again, we were told that the achar was "fine" according to the chef. Health Concerns:
Following the meal, 6 of us experienced severe discomfort and symptoms consistent with food poisoning. This was extremely distressing and caused significant disruption to our schedules and well-being. On a positive note, we appreciated the yomari, which was fresh and enjoyable. However, the overall experience left us disappointed and concerned.
As lovers of Newari cuisine, we chose your restaurant with high expectations. To see such lapses in food quality and safety is disheartening. We kindly request the following:
A thorough review of your food preparation and safety protocols. Immediate rectification of issues related to food quality, especially the spoiled achar. A formal response regarding the measures you plan to implement to ensure such incidents do not occur in the future. We hope that you take this feedback constructively and act promptly. We believe in supporting local businesses and would appreciate your commitment to providing a safe and enjoyable dining experience for all...
Read moreI’ve been a regular at this restaurant for nearly three years, and today’s experience has compelled me to pen this review. What a complete disappointment! After a 40-minute wait for my "Thukkpa Momo," I was left fuming as my friend finished his "Thali" and stacked his plates. How can a restaurant consistently neglect such a fundamental aspect of service ?
It’s appalling that a restaurant that has been operating for years still hasn’t grasped the basics of hospitality. Serving all dishes at the same time no matter how long the wait is, when everybody on the table has ordered single meal is not just a courtesy; it should be a standard practice! It feels like a farce when you can watch other tables receive prompt service while yours is left hanging. This isn't just a lapse; it’s a consistent failure to acknowledge the value of your customers’ time and experience.
Yet here we are, in a place that seems indifferent to its customers' dining experience. It's a shame to see such potential wasted on inept service. I entered hoping for a delicious meal and left feeling disregarded and frustrated. This experience has left a sour taste in my mouth, and sadly, I've realised that I can no longer overlook this restaurant’s glaring inadequacies. I will be reconsidering my loyalty and looking for dining options that value...
