I gave it a 5 star for having an authentic traditional Vietnamese pork roll (Option #1, banh mi thit aka traditional pork roll) and I grew up eating Bankstown banh mi every second day so it taste like home for me and hits my comfort food cravings.
Filling-wise, they do lack some other "authentic Vietnamese-type range" options that other banh mi places provides like bi. Also, they lack the more modern loaded banh mi but then so does any bakery around here for that matter if you want a good one. The closest top tier modern loaded ones are probably St Clair's bakery (sister bakery to Top Ryde Bakers House) and some people swears by the Just Baked from St Marys (if you don't care about pate). They do however, provide a more local-centric salad rolls options like schnitzel, which is not uncommon for food places to do around the Penrith area but would be very odd if I mention it to other Vietnamese people.
Bread is fresh and crunchy. Pate and mayo is spot on with their authenticity in taste and portion amount. Chilli is the right kind for banh mi, the small Thai bird eye type that would burn your mouth.
Service-wise, it is a typical banh mi place.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreHad some time at Penrith today before catching my train, did a quick search in the group to find many posts about this place popped up, and wow, I am so grateful for this group, because the rolls I got were fantastic!
Char siu pork roll - $6 Meatball pork roll - $6.5
Taste: āāāāā Awesome pate, very evenly spread out and extremely punchy taste, so do the mayo, made every bite moist and creamy.
No lettuces but heaps of spring onion, gives the roll a nice pungent kick other than chilli. Carrots are nicely marinated, but I think no daikons (which is the only con).
Love both char siu and meatball variants, I wish I had more stomach to try their beef, but I was wayyy too full after two rolls.
Value: āāāāā Needless to say, as in the photo, the fillings are generous. For $6 ~ $6.5 it is easily the cheapest amongst the competitions out there.
Service: āāāā The lady serving was fast and efficient, but feels like she's ready to kill me when I ask if they accept cards 𤣠but that's expected I guess.
Final verdict: Must be one of the best roll in the west, can even compete with TRB I'd say. Definitely will come back and try other flavours...

I ordered 3 banh mi's.
One bbq chicken (with extra roach for free)
One crackling pork
One traditional pork.
Initially seen this premise being busy & decided to try them today, took it home ate the crackling pork without looking.
Luckily as I went to take another bite from the chicken one, trying to find chilli in it, I had seen this roach inside.
This put me off completely, same with my mum eating with me going halves.
As you can see in the photos, it's assumed they would cook fresh meat daily.
This has made me question their health and safety.
Do not recommened eating from this place, sad to say it tasted nice, yet you can continue eating something like that if they have a bug issue & don't cover their meats or potentially also veg.
Warning.
Also this was purchased pretty early in the morning so should be fresh and clean & not...
