I am about to give you a mixed review but an honest one.
We ended up here just to try somewhere new, first impression was that we were a little underdressed but we came in anyways :) my daughter was here to celebrate something special so we went with her choices and a recommendation from one of the wait staff, (polite gentleman) and served with professionalism.
The place was quiet but very clean, we ordered two entrees and a beef and vegetable dish. Once the entree came, we were served and because we were sharing I served my daughter hers in an extra bowl and I found a short black hair in it. It was fine, the soup tasted like luke warm boiling water with no flavour.
My daughter liked the satay chicken and so we proceeded with the mains, the chilli beef was unreal, the beef was nicely tenderised and we could tell unlike most Chinese restaurants that it was good quality beef. The Chinese broccoli lacked in yumcha quality, very plain, I did not like it, the oyster sauce was like gravy and did not taste to compliment the dish. It also lacks in presentation, it’s a lovely polished restaurant so I expected the food to be dressed better than I was (in my sweat pants and thongs).
I recommend the chilli beef, for the price of just over $100 I do not recommend it. I would pay $300+ for food that is in a nice restaurant but this lacked in personality. However, the service was good, the ladies were so...
Read moreThis restaurent came highly recommended......maybe for the upper class budget set dining in.
As for a take away experience...... sorry no thank you. Confronted with a reception area consisting of the back of 4 monitors and a lack of easy face to face interaction. After talking looking over the obstructions, I also had to contend with an elder lady behind the counter continously complianing loudly and to the staffer attending me about the news on the TV in waiting area. How rude talking over us and how rude - against the Aussie way of helping anyone we can with the virus or not....tourist or not.
But to the quicky delivered food. I ordered a serve and a 1/2 and paid dearly for it..... Mind I feel it was only a std serve and then the container was not even full. More juice than chewable content.
It was pleasant on the eye and palate.....just over priced, under full and not worthy of a reccommendation.
On the road last 4 weeks with 90% take aways, usually Asian, and usually the healthiest options. Some truly small, old, and unappealling joints......with the best service, best food and realistic pricing without the rude interlude thrown in. Sorry guys, a flashy store does not make a good experience where it...
Read moreGreat food and great service! Have had a busy day and was just after something, this place was not only nice, it was savoury as well! The food was delicious, we got the lunch buffet that was priced at $19.50 per person and it was pretty decent for the size. Otherwise I do recommend seeing how you feel when youve had some of the mains as you do get an entree each, you could definitely order some extras to help fill yourself up. The entrees choice was out of: mixed entree which had a spring roll, fried dimsim and a ham, chicken roll. Or chicken corn soup. There was also a choice of just having a set of the 3 mixed entrees. We got 1x steamed dim sims, 1x mixed entree. As for the main there is alot of choices on what meat and what sauce you'd like with it, whatever was on those list you could make lots of different mixtures with sauce and meat. We got the bbq pork with plum sauce which was amazing! It had a tangy taste! And we also got the Mongolian Beef, all that with a side of fried rice! We spent roughly around $50 with the drinks as extra, plus 2x take away containers. Pretty decent price for 2 people. 😊 The cherry on top was the services was friendly, great communication and fast! Hoping to...
