JANUS BAR SYDNEY šŸ“1 Bligh Street, Sydney An outdoor bar located in the middle of the city with one of the best Greek street foods I have had and a great spot to catch up with friends and colleagues. Delicious cocktails, great service, and mouthwatering food that will have you going back back for more. We had a sharing Platter that is an amazing way to get a sample of some of the wonderful varieties Greek cuisine has to offer which included lamb, chicken, beef, Octopus, dolmades, haloumi, hotchips, pita bread, Greek salad as well as 3 dips. We also had olives, Calamari, an amazing plate of different Greek wraps, aka souvlaki, and honey glazed haloumi. To end an amazing food experience, for dessert, we had Galaktoboureko (Greek dessert with custard). A huge thank you to @janusbarsydney for your generous hospitality and @thegyrosqueen for having me. Highly recommend this amazing spot. OPA

Janus Gyros is a solid spot for anyone craving authentic, hearty Greek flavors. The gyros are well-prepared, packed with juicy meat, and served with fresh, flavorful toppings like ripe tomatoes, crisp onions, and cool tzatziki that brings everything together. Their pita bread is soft yet sturdy, holding up well with all the fillings. I appreciated the portion sizes, which are generous without being overwhelming. The atmosphere is casual and inviting, ideal for a quick bite or a laid-back meal with friends. Service is generally friendly, the wait is worth it, as you can tell the ingredients are fresh and the food is made with care. If you’re a fan of Mediterranean flavors, Janus Gyros won’t disappoint.

My colleague mentioned this place and that they had a great chicken pita. Off we went and ended up with a handful of disappointment instead. The person taking the order ruined everything with their rude obnoxious behaviour The people serving the food - outstanding The pita itself? Overpriced and Ugh 😣 Too much sauce and I prefer not to over-carb my sandwich or pita by having chips in it - yuck 🤮 (it’s like ordering a B&E roll only to discover they put cheese in it 🤢 - I didn’t ask for it and why isn’t it on the bloody menu???) Obviously not to everyone’s taste and some like lots of sauce and chips but for me, I’ll get my chicken pita somewhere else (and cheaper)
