Kumadon Burwood — Restaurant in Sydney

I ordered from 𝗞𝗨𝗠𝗔𝗗𝗢𝗡 𝗕𝗨𝗥𝗪𝗢𝗢𝗗 through the Uber Eats app and tried the 𝗚𝗥𝗜𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗗 𝗘𝗘𝗟 𝗗𝗢𝗡. The eel itself was delicious and well-cooked, but I found the sauce a bit too heavy when eating the eel on its own. That said, once mixed with the rice, the flavor balanced out nicely. Just a heads up — based on the picture, the grilled eel don looked like it only came with one medium piece, so I added extra eel on the side. If you’re someone who likes a generous portion of eel, I’d recommend doing the same.

I also ordered the 𝗧𝗔𝗞𝗢𝗬𝗔𝗞𝗜. It was okay — not bad, but nothing particularly special either. I’ve had better elsewhere in terms of texture and flavor, so I probably wouldn’t order that again from here.

Overall, the meal was satisfying and the eel was the highlight, but a little tweaking on the sauce and presentation could make the experience even better.

Worth trying if you’re craving a quick Japanese rice bowl, especially if you love unagi!

TERRIBLE SERVICE!! I DON'T RECOMMEND YOU GUYS TO COME Came here at about 8:10, I was waiting to order, there was two persons inside, but no one took my order until I asked twice. The male staff looked like he didnt care about the customer. He looked at us and looked away. The famele staff whispered to him then came to us, took our order with an attitude, no communication on how to make payment. We came back 15mins later, waited, we then asked them how long our order would take. Once again without any communication to us, she whispered to other staff then seemly started cooking our order. We then asked for a refund. Again no communication or acknowledgment, kept on stalling then came to us with a refund. NOT EVEN SAID "SORRY" US. IF YOU ARE THE OWNER AND YOU READ THIS REVIEW, CONSIDERING YOUR STAFF IF YOU DONT WANT TO LOSE YOUR BUSINESS

The food is great and I was curious about trying this place for some time. I ordered the Angus Beef and Chicken Don which came as a meal set together with miso soup and salad.

For a nice portion of meat I believe it's priced accordingly and it was delicious and filling as most don meals should be. The service was fairly fast, I wasn't a big fan of their atmosphere and decorations, their seating is very limited and we sat on the tall stools. But the food is what's most important and we enjoyed it!
