We went today for mothers day and my husband ordered the spaghetti bolognaise, as soon as it came out it just didn’t look right , but he tried it because sometimes looks can be deceiving, however not in this case. It was dry, just as it looked and did not taste fresh at all. My husband was going to eat it but I could see that he was not enjoying he’s first bite at all and told him to tell the waitress. He asked if the pasta was fresh and how it was made and she said “some of it” we both looked at each other and thought what in the world. It’s not a hard dish to make so not having it made fresh is just ridiculous. It also doesn’t cost much to make either. But apparently cutting corners is something that is okay at this place. Anyway… to further explain what happened the waitress then said she will ask the manager. She came over and apparently she is also the owner .. lol and when I say lol I mean I was not expecting someone to react how she did. She asked us what the problem was, and immediately looked super defensive and not okay with any form of criticism at all. My husband just told her , it doesn’t taste fresh and he was not happy with he’s dish. Any right minded person that cared at all for there customers or cared at all about the food they were serving would of apologised and asked if there is anything they can do make it better , such as another option or refund. She said non of this instead just put it back on the table and honestly couldn’t careless about it. But she did care about the criticism. And did not take it well at all. She was completely rude and I heard how she spoke to my husband . I then brought the food up to her from our table and told her we are not going to eat this, nor will we pay for such a thing. We were running late so we totally accepted the fact that she couldn’t make another dish for us but there is no need for the attitude she gave us . Such angst person . We were 40mins late to our reservation, it was Mother’s Day and I am a mother- go figure. And any mother could understand that even though we left the house an hour early for a 10min drive we had to make a stop because of our baby needing to be changed multiple times before and after getting in the car. Anyone holding a mother’s day lunch would understand this , and if in the case one couldn’t they could at least said to us “Hey guys you are late and we have someone booked right after you which will be coming in shortly, would you still like to sit and eat” (because our customer service is going to fall to the ground because you were late). Had she said right at the start that she didn’t have time for us we would have straight up gone somewhere else instead. Instead of having rude service when a meal does not go right and we state our feedback.
Ps the pasta is not fresh , as much as she wants to declare with all her might it is. Had he continued to eat that he would have been sick. I had a bite of it and it didn’t set well with me.
I have also just looked at some of the reviews and other people have had the same problem with the pasta dishes as well.
The other dish was lovely , the eye fillet. It’s a shame about the owners (or who ever she claims to be) behaviour and attitude. We will never come back here again and advise all our shire friends not to go here either. Not because of the dish , however that should be the case. But because she has no...

Additional post owners response
It was short and concise because our main complaint was time and lack of apology for delay. But if the owner wishes I will air all.
Customers please see a great example of the attitude of management below it Is truely raving. Apparently our experience is not something to complain about have why have not read the numberous other reviews complaints echoing the similar issues in time, and other issues I know at minimum one other table had two hours.
Yes this was a for a birthday, and there was a preset menu of entrees why did this take 90 minutes, if booking is at 12 and the entrees are set and the numbers are advised it's not rocket science how does every other venue managed? And if it's so hard to do they at once you can always stage it like garlic bread then calamari then meatballs. There your welcome
Why did the staff come around and order bit by bit.? Why did we have to wave the staff down to ask for extra drinks? Why did entrees only come out after comments made to your friends and your friend went into the kitchen?
The kids were restless and hungry, I think they may of had some food ordered earlier but can't remember for sure. Anyone with kids I am sure you can Imagine. I do recall we had to buy colouring books for the kids while they waited, buy sunscreen to not to get burnt, adjust the umbrellas ourselves as no one knew how long we were here.
Also this time frame does not include the cake, the cake was pre-bought and it was only entree and main meal, I don't know where you get this multi-course meal idea.
As echoed amongst the group baring your friends for obvious reasons, it was abysmal.
And I would also like to add your response is also abysmal.
CUSTOMER BEWARE be if come here the owners take their type of RESTaurant very seriously and will ensure you get plenty of "REST" before the meal arrives and if you dare share the experience below is what...

I just wanted to express how disgusted I am by the way my family and I were treated at your restaurant last night. We had a reservation for 7:30, arrived on time, and looked at the menu, which was extremely overpriced. After looking at the wine list, my friend went next door to buy a bottle of wine. Within 15 minutes of sitting down, we ordered as we were hungry. We got our bruschetta quickly, which was fine, but after that, we were left waiting.
At 8:40, we asked the waitress about our mains, and she said there was a large table ahead of us, and we were next. By 8:45, we decided we couldn't wait any longer and told her we just wanted to pay for the bruschetta and leave. She said we couldn’t do that and needed to speak to the manager.
When the manager came over, she was incredibly rude. She immediately raised her voice and asked, “What’s the problem here?” We explained we wanted to leave, and she said, “You can’t do that, your food is about to be plated and you have to pay for the whole bill.” My sister-in-law told her we didn’t want to wait any longer, and the manager put her hand in my sister-in-law’s face and told her to “lower her voice.”
I stepped in and told the manager how rude she was and that, as someone who’s worked in service for years, I would never treat customers like that. She asked how I would have handled it, and I said I would have apologized and explained the delay. The manager responded by saying, “Why would I apologize? You haven’t been waiting that long. You didn’t order when you got here, and you even went and bought wine.” I was stunned by her response.
My sister-in-law then went to the register to pay, feeling pressured into doing so. We got our food in takeaway containers at 9:00 PM and left because we didn’t feel comfortable staying any longer.
If I were the owner, I would be mortified by how this manager spoke to customers. If this is the owner, I feel sorry for the staff who have to work under such a person. There’s no defending rudeness like that – customers pay your wages, and this kind of treatment is...
