Initial review: Tap beer was bad.. but don’t mention it to the bar staff. Thanks for the attitude young fella. X Cocktails ok.

Update/reply. Very aware of where I was - the band was playing on the night we came.

Ordered a tap beer (Pilsner I think) and 2 cocktails. The bar tender tried to pour the beer and filled two glasses with head - Iat this point I went back to the bar as I could see it happening and said if the tap was having an issue that I would just switch to a canned beer. He told me rudely that he had already poured half the beer and asked ‘if it was ok’ to pour the rest. Sure mate - life is too short. Cocktails came Out before the beer. Cocktails were pretty good - the old fashioned was a little light on the sweetness but ok.

The beer was flat and I left it without drinking. There was clearly an issue with the tap/keg- your bar staff should have been aware that it shouldn’t take pouring several glasses of head and combining it into to one glass to pour 1 beer. If you’re going to charge $50 for two cocktails and a tap beer then at least make sure the beer is good and don’t give me some whiney attitude when I mention it.

It’s a great little venue and the staff were super lovely. They put on such a wide range of acts which is great and I love to see new venues in Sydney. I’ve heard from artists that they’ve had positive experiences playing there. I was there on a weeknight for a gig so maybe things are different during the day or on weekends but the food was expensive and the portions were small. I would definitely recommend it as a live music venue but i don’t think I’d go...

My wife and I were frequent visitors to the Factory so were keen to give this place a try, but go in without expectations to keep it fair. We were happy to find the magic is still there in Jim's menus as everything the kitchen offered was fantastic. The service was also first class which is great to see.
