This cafe has changed so much over the past 2 years. Perhaps change in ownership but whatever it is is for the better. Friendly staff, great menu and great food and coffee! Generous servings too and the sweet treats display is also good!

Cafes in small shopping centres are sometimes questionable but on a rainy day, this cafe was not only convenient but surprisingly decent. Breakfast/brunch dishes are well made & a good portion. Poached eggs had a nice soft yolk & the smashed avocado also had a nice salty contrast from halloumi cheese. Raisin toast is the usual but came with 2x butter which was great. Muffins are baked fresh daily & the white chocolate number was sweet with a crunchy top and more cake then muffin but good to satisfy a sweet tooth. The hot chocolates were meant to be Belgium and you can choose White, Milk or Dark which was much better then the standard powder or syrup versions. Just wish it was a bit more generous on the chocolate as although it was nice, it was more the colour of a Moove chocolate milk then a nice thick Belgium chocolate. Order and pay at the counter and its not long till your food and drink arrives. However, the prices are confusing. I was told at the counter that the upsized hot chocolate was $1 more but on the menu it reads $0.60 more. When asked abour this the answer was simply "its $1 more for large" but does not explain why its...
Read moreI had been going there every day buying 3 chais daily , even though almost every day I liked it hot and they gave it warm, maybe on three occasions ,did I speak up as I noticed they are always rushing , today was a experience I’ll never return. The lady who served me has really poor English , so when she said not yours to the coffee she placed right in front of me, I heard yours , I took it thinking she said yours. I realised it’s coffee which I can’t have as I have gastritis , when I approached her I asked is this coffee? she started screaming out “ I said it’s not yours it’s not yours” and kept repeating it , it was really confronting and a embarrassing experience , regardless of the miss communication for a staff member to treat a client that way, is just appalling. I genuinely couldn’t understand her english , I would have been happy to pay for the order that’s not the issue , the way she was screaming was so uncalled for. Restaurants really need to train your staff in communication , it accounts for 50 percent of the service , secondly miscommunications do happen , no need to yell at the client , as long as I stay in the area I will never return to this place out of principle , I will never support a business who thinks this...
Read moreTwo years since my last visit and the rating stays at 4* (consistent!). Coffee has improved slightly, service was great, and this morning's breakfast gnocchi was also great. Last time I wrote: Excellent service, good food, coffee just so-so. Have been past many times in the past but people manning coffee machine never look overly confident. Tried it today (Sunday) and greeted with a smile, order processed easily (counter service only), and good vibe to the place. Coffee and food arrived relatively promptly; once again pleasant service. Coffee drinkable but not good enough to encourage me to rush back. Food quite good. Octopus, a few chips, bit of salad $16 - reasonable. Add raisin toast (2 slices) and regular coffee $25. I will probably return but not good enough to make a...
