Leichhardt Municipal Cafe — Restaurant in Sydney

The food was overcooked and bland except for the flavour of stale, dirty, cooking oil. It looked and tasted like it had been reheated/refried multiple times. To top it off both me and the person I ate with ended up with upset tummies for the rest of the day (runs/nausea/queasy). I've seen some pisitive reviews so I don't know if they had a bad day or what but it was very unpleasant and it wasn't exactly cheap either.

I've left exactly 2 bad reviews in 10 plus years. And the other was not for a food outlet. I rarely get a queasy tummy and I've eaten in some dives. Not good - if you guys read this I hope you pick up, staff are nice, just can't get...

We stopped in at lunch today. I had the Mexican Breakfast Burrito! Let me tell you it was the best ever Burrito I've ever eaten! Ever! There is a tall guy that works there, I think he's the owner. He's always singing tunes and keeps the vibe happening in the cafe! He made me a Piccolo with precision. I asked him to make it a little hotter than usual and came out perfect in taste! I visit many cafes on my travels and this coffee is fantastic! It's defiantly the best coffee in Leichhardt by far! I've had coffee in most of them like Bar Italia, Penny Fours and Mezzapica Cafe(Corner) and none have come close. Worth a trip specially for...

We attended a few weeks ago before the lockdown, still had no high chairs for babies which was disappointing as Leichhardt is full of young families. But it doesn't end their, we waited to be served, I actually went to the counter and asked if we order at the counter as no staff member, bought over a menu or look interested in serving us. After this I assumed someone would come over with a menu or take our coffee orders, but no, the staff was for more interested in cleaning the table next to us. Very, very disappointed and will not be attending again, they lost the sale...
