I took a friend here today for her birthday. I had rung initially to book lunch at The restaurant but was told it was still closed after the fire. I was told there was a good selection of seafood in the cafe so I booked. I had booked two weeks ago to make sure that I got a table near the window I got there and the table was nowhere near the window. After complaining we were moved to a better table. The food was good the service very average and the menu was disappointing. We were served by three different people. We ordered a starter and then had to ask for the menu again to order our main meal we then had to get someone’s attention to place the order. The food also took a long time to come out. The people next to us came in quite a bit after us and got their meal before us. They too were very disappointed with the service. We then had to ask a third time for the menu to order a desert and coffee. It was very very noisy also. I was disappointed because as I said this was for my friends birthday. We will not...

I recently had lunch here with a group of friends- we had booked well in advance for lunch on a Monday, and apart from our table of 13 there were only 2 or 3 other tables of 2 or 3 people. The restaurant is in a beautiful location on Narrabeen Lake, and that turned out to be it's only redeeming feature. There was one surly waitress on duty answered every request with "I'm on my own here- I'll get to it". Our entrees and mains arrived together (the ones that actually turned up- one of our meals was forgotten altogether...) The garlic bread was burnt, the food was overpriced and not very good, and the bad service continued throughout the meal. We arrived at 12 pm thinking we had lots of time to enjoy lunch before school pick up at 3, but we were still waiting on coffees and teas at nearly 2:30. at which point we left without our missing driinks. There was really no excuse- it was not a full restaurant and our large group was no surprise. I would certainly not go back while the restaurant is under it's...

Visit to the cafe on Easter Sunday Purchased two coffees and two bananas breads for $26 served by lovely helpful female staff but I went outside to sit down then came back into the cafe a few minutes later to use the bathroom and was confronted by a rude man manager (?) in a blue shirt who stated that “ only paying customers can use the facilities” - I stated that I had just paid $26 for my order - he let me pass without any apology. Just made assumptions and very unobservant as he had already seen me pay earlier! Lots of scruffy signage around as well stating that only paying customers may use the facilities. Please be a bit more observant and less critical in future. I only gave three stars for the rest of the staff. Stingy butter portions for the banana bread which was quite nice ( v large portion size for...

We drove out for 45 mins to try this place on recommendation. Service was lovely. Coffee/tea, cakes and location were definitely the strong points. Lunch was about as average as it gets, and that's what we really came for. It looks like they've had a fairly big price hike recently (see menu pricing below). The salad felt lazy and for a $35 Barramundi I can't say I'd ever come back for it, not even for the old price of $28. It was surprisingly tasteless, needed to salt it extra and the sauce was essential to mask the lacking flavour. Surprised the dish doesn't come with chips. Calamari was also very run of the mill average. If you're happy with average, and paying a higher price for it then you'll be content eating here. The other dishes I saw looked nice, but I won't go out of my way to come back.

On a sunny day this is a great spot for a Sunday lunch. Food choices were better than expected for a lakeside seafood restaurant. All tables outside have a view of the lake, and service was good. As well as the fish and chips there were some interesting salads, burgers, souvlaki and grilled salmon and barramundi. Everyone was easily catered - adults young and old, children, and dietary requirements. Serves were big, and good value. When you're done grab takeaway coffee or ice cream and do the walk around the lake, or hire a board and go for a paddle. Lots of free parking attached to the premises, though on busy days this can fill up by 1PM.

Such a welcome addition to the Narrabeen restaurant scene. The food here is delicious. Loved the Greek meatballs, lamb gyros was tender and tasty. Desserts of baklava and sticky date pudding were very generous and yummy. Great beers on tap and a divine strawberry daiquiri! We arrived for a gorgeous lakeside sunset too. We will definitely be back.
