My partner & I visited Black Honey & Brew for the first time, late on a wintry Sunday morning, for a spur of the moment brunch - and to get out of the cold after a brisk walk in the "Scottish mist!" We were warmly welcomed by the owner/manager/barista and seated in the 2-thirds full cafe. A carafe of water and glasses immediately placed on our table. Comfortable cushions on the bench side seating and a fluffy wrap for chilly legs were a welcome touch. Our turmeric latte and hot chocolate arrived in minutes, soon followed by my partner's Black Magic roll and my Breakfast Stack. It was DELICIOUS! My partner extolled the virtues of her bacon, egg, avo, cheese, hash brown, roquette, tomato, aioli & chilli relish, whilst I insisted she sample my poached egg, avo, haloumi (plus side of bacon), with roquette & feta topping. At $56 all up it was good value. We'll definitely recommend you plan a visit and enjoy the menu which has enough variety to have something for everyone whilst being small enough to ensure any item will be served up well without making anyone wait. Our experience was definitely a level above anything similar in the vicinity. Thanks to the hands-on manager and the wait staff for a thoroughly enjoyable start to our day. We will...
Read moreI was in the area yesterday and was looking for somewhere to get some food, Black Honey and Brew was nearby and I thought I'd give em a go. Despite arriving close to the time the kitchen was going to close, they were very friendly and attentive... and seating us was not a problem at all. I was really impressed that the bacon was cooked crispy (not too crispy either), this is an area where most cafes don't get it right (As far as my tastes go). Other things of note is the café was comfortably spacious and was very clean and tidy.... I do plan on...

This cafe do both of these to perfection - creamy coffee and perfectly runny egg. Top that with a quality eggs Benedict and a solid breakfast menu, there's a reason that despite having moved out of Narabeen, I still come back to this cafe. If you are heading to the beach or a walk around the lake, then drop into Black Honey first for a quality well...
