Safety alert: take extreme caution!!!
I am lactose intolerant so I only order /drink lactose free coffee. I ordered a take away coffee and when it was ready I checked with the asain barista if it is lactose free? He avoided answering but asked for my name then said this is the coffee I ordered.
That was a red flag for me. I insisted to know what type of milk used for making this coffee as a normal milk will make me very unwell. The asain barista then yelled at me saying that I have not ordered lactose free milk and if I don't want the coffee he will give me a refund as he is not willing to make a replacement for me 😡😡
The staff who took my order came out and admitted she made a mistake and forgot to put the order through as lactose free milk. Another barista has kindly made me a lactose free coffee and handed to me.
I never write reviews - in fact this is my very first one, however I am very concerned for anyone has allergies - like myself - to face this health risk situation. I was taking video of chocolates while my husband and family was choosing the chocolate to buy. I might not realize that my video was passing the staff, i was thinking to capture the lindt sign behind them. One staff with head cover suddenly approached me and stopped me, asked me to delete the video as she doesn't want any of her face shows. I check again, she was looking back in the video, no one face shows. Read moreThe manager at Lindt Homebush DFO demonstrated the best management skills I’ve seen in retail/hospitality. The barista stuffed up my drink order and when I asked for a refund, the manager came and was super friendly & kind, acknowledged the mistake, issued a refund and then still replaced the drink for free which he made himself to ensure they got it right; brought the drink out to me and also gifted me two Lindt chocolate balls for free. I was so blown away by how they dealt with the mistake - I hadn’t even been mad to begin with and they still went above and beyond to ensure I had an excellent, unforgettable experience in their store.
