The front counter service was friendly when we ordered our food.
Basically it’s a butcher, so you can either pick the food from the menu or the meat in display & they would cook for you.
It’s a pretty cool concept I must admit! I order 4 skewers, 2 beef & 2 chicken skewers!
The beef was very tough like a jerky! And a little tasteless & the chicken was very tender but a little bland.
I wasn’t so hungry, so I decided to just ordered the skewers, but the portion was also tiny! I also ordered the beer which I loved.
My friend’s ordered burger & chips, and the other one ordered a steak!
My friend’s steak arrived first before her steamed vegetables! So my friend asked one of the lady waitress. She blurted out “it will arrive soon!” with a rude arrogant tone! Very rude indeed, which was unnecessary!!!!! 😡
My friend was polite when she asked! The service needs to be more friendly! The waitress was not friendly and the others didn’t even say a word to us, just looked grumpily handing out food!
I liked the food and the concept but not the service! And this was tonight which was 24.04.2020 !! Maybe train the staffs to have manners, before losing more customers.
I won’t go back! After that rude incident! Gosh some people need to learn some manners, especially dealing with customers in hospitality. Once rude, it will turn customers off, and will...

I ordered the 350 Wagyu scotch fillet and my partner the 220g fillet. Red wine gravy & mushroom sauce respectively as well as a side of coleslaw and a couple of glasses of red wine. The counter service seemed confused unsure.l and the experience overall is pretty poor. Drinks & table numbers handed to you to try and juggle to the table while paying over $150 for a pretty basic order. Meals arrived promptly. The table service was similarly unsure, dropping off the steaks and asking if there was anything else as he was about to take the table number away. Our side of coleslaw hadn’t arrived. It was immediately apparent the sauces had been mixed up. We swapped the ramekins to each others plate, pouring mine onto my steak it was obvious it was the pepper sauce, not the mushroom I had ordered. The steak itself was cooked medium and not medium-rare, and it was poor quality, being tough and low on flavour. When your core business is steak you really need to get these basics right. My partners steak was cooked correctly and the quality was ok. The coleslaw was not fresh and average flavour.
Really disappointing when you’re looking forward to a good steak and pay too dollar for it, only to be served supermarket level...
Read moreSo I am regular here. When in Bondi my place of choice. Always had a good experience, extremely disappointed today. I know my meat and I only eat eye fillet. I ordered eye fillet medium. Food came out looked like a rump, took a bite tasted like a rump hard and chewy, asked waitress to check if this was eye fillet was told yes eye fillet. The meat was almost rectangle and not thick enough to be eye fillet, didn't taste like eye fillet or cut like an eye fillet. To avoid an issue and embarrassing my partner I finished my meal and left, but I will never be eating here again. Don't gas light me and give me a rump and tell me it's an eye fillet when all I ever eat anywhere is eye fillet, it wasn't even the right cut, thickness, texture or taste. Extremely disappointed considering the number of people I have recommended to come here and the fact this was my eatery of choice in Bondi. Look if you mess up and say we messed your order up I can live with that, but to be told a piece of meat that's cut like a rump, thin like a rump and that tastes like a rump is an eye fillet that's just gas lighting a customer. In hindsight I should have taken a photo...
