Had Mario's pizzaria for the first time. Had seats booked so we were seated right away. Decor, seats and tables were slightly lacking and the restaurant was quite narrow in that you'll have to be excusing yourself to walking beside/behind multiple tables if you had the table at the farthest corner of the restaurant. The first thing our waitress had told us was that if we were to order pizza, it would be a 40minute wait and the longer we decide which pizza the slower our order will get processed, which was a bit of a letdown as who in the world goes to a pizzaria and not order pizza? Ended up rushing a bit to choose pizzas but we chose 2 in the end. We ordered meatballs to start which were surprisingly delicious. It was served with a few slices of bread which can be drizzled with the meatball sauce - sauce was amazing - balanced acidity, sweetness and thickness. Next came the bruschetta which I did not expect to come out on a pizza base - tasted alright and with lots of tomatoes on top. The 2 pizzas we ordered finally came out: chicken avocado and supreme. Taste was quite good with a lot of toppings on both pizzas. Pizza base was average.

I remember coming here with the family a couple years back, and personally it was an amazing experience. We ordered a bunch of pastas and pizzas and it was delicious ! Service was fast despite the busy weekend night. Fast-forward to a couple weeks ago, my partner and I ordered a pizza and a chicken schnitzel. We waited a long time for the food to arrive. Keep in mind the place wasn't packed, it was pretty loud, but it wasn't busy. Food finally came, and to be honest it wasn't worth the wait. Delicious schnitzel - very small portion though. Added vegetables on the side, very mediocre, something I could make in 10-15 mins. However, staff was friendly and if it wasn't for the slow service, it would've made the dinner experience better.

Nice and cozy Italian restaurant. When you walk in you see people making pizza and pizza ovens which is really nice. The smell of freshly made food makes your mouth water. The staff was very attending, offered drinks first and was always monitoring the room in case somebody needed anything. We ordered supreme pizza, seafood pasta, chicken breast with mushroom sauce and prawn and crab pasta. It wasn't the best pizza I have ever had but everything was tasty. Plus you get the typical Italian atmosphere of sharing food, wine and football on tv. One weird thing: they do not accept any credit card but have ATM on the premises.

Pros: This restaurant is beautifully cosy and quaint with a great atmosphere.

The food gets to the table hot (not warm) which is FANTASTIC.

The salad... of course was cold and crunchy.

The taste of the food was beautiful.

We ordered:

CAESAR SALAD (plain, not the chicken one) The salad size was a very VERY generous portion and the house made dressing was just perfect (And they didn't drown the salad with the dressing) 10/10

SPAGHETTI BOLOGNESE, tasted so beautiful and well balanced. The spaghetti texture perfectly matched the sauce and the mince flavors. 10/10

VEGETARIAN PIZZA. The pizza base was nice and firm and not sloppy. There wasn't an overflow of vegetables. Just a nice nice mix to cover the pizza base. 9/10

MEXICANA PIZZA, had a wonderful little zing to it. I only had a couple of bites and lifted up to the rest of the people on the table to eat because I had eaten so much already but what I did have, had a beautiful flavour and a nice crunchy base. 9/10

....And sorbet for dessert. Which we shared as we were all stuffed full.

We found the staff were very courteous and professional and greeted us nicely. They served the food promptly and asked if we were happy with it and if we needed anything else and were on hand if we needed extra drinks etc.

The price for all the food that we had was very reasonable and due to the fact that the food was delicious, we were very happy to pay it with a tip (which nobody asked for) But we gave it to them anyway because we were happy with the evening.

Cons: If you are looking for parking there is parking on the street but the lines marts are extremely narrow and your car basically just fits. That's if you can find parking there. You might have to park up the road or around the corner and go for a short walk. Which in itself is not too bad because you'll have to walk off some of that food anyway. There's not really anything negative that we could find about our visit here.

The food was delicious. The service was great and will...

I have always liked Mario's pizza but last night's experience was disappointing. I wanted to have a rocket salad and add chicken to it, the waitres looks at me and says no we can't do that . I said how hard is it to put a bit of chicken on the salad. I said can you just ask the chef so she did. When it came out it was drowned in balsamic vinegar literally there was a pool of balsamic vinger at the bottom of the bowl looked more like soup not salad. Then we asked for some ice cream with our nutella pizza same waitres. Honestly you'd think we asked for gold. No she says again we can't do that and gives us this death stare. I really didn't know what to say, she must have seen the look on my face as after some time she says we can put it in a cup fine put it in a cup. Then as I was leaving to pay the bill one of the waiters was yelling out something about being short staffed and generally not being nice to the waitress. Then I went to pay the bill with my credit card the guy says we don't take cards just cash. Really un heard of in this day and age no credit card facilities. The best part of the night was the nutella pizza as they were generous with the Nuttela. Won't be going back there in a hurry...

Was recommended this place so I thought I would try it out . Great location, easy to find parking and made a booking previously,, thank God cause they were busy as. We ordered the garlic pizza just to snack on before our meals arrived. I ordered the pollo funghi which is cooked in a creamy wine sauce and my partner ordered the four seasons pizza. We didn't over order because we didn't want to feel sick afterwards. The meals came and they looked very home cooked which was a nice change. I took a bite of my chicken and Omg what a subtle taste and delicious. My partners pizza was cooked perfectly and the crust did not get sloppy like most other pizzas. The flavour was subtle again and tasty. This is how you know a place has great food. They don't have to try hard to have great flavours. The only thing i could fault is the vegetables. Although they were tasty, they were way over cooked. I understand that the nonnas back in Italy cook their vegetables like this but i do like my vegetables cooked like the Thai cook them, not long and crunchy. Their waiters were friendly and we left a $5 tip for their great service. I highly recommend this place and will be coming back to try their...
