Wonderful venue with a similar aesthetic atmosphere to Frankies, just nearby. I'd recommended initially dropping in during a weekday outside typical workplace lunch hours, missing the surprisingly heavy rush of businesspeople from the surrounding buildings. Excellent music, very friendly staff. They've made adjustments considering the current COVID-19 pandemic, and I felt safe eating here. People are spaced out, the staff are careful and very aware, but yet it doesn't retract from the atmosphere of the place. The walls are coated in scribbles and scrawls, from light-hearted messages to a particularly long monologue regarding one's missing dog. It's funky, with red lighting, cobwebs layered over the single red light bulb that wasn't working (couldn't tell if this was purposeful/fake webs or literally just a spider having a good time like everyone else) and quirkily-named drinks. The drinks included 'Daddy Issues', 'Baby Maker', 'Horse's Head', 'Nose Candy', and 'Barb Not Wired' (the non-alcoholic option). They must rotate the menu as when we went there were only three burger options - one being vegan. All burgers come with a very impressive portion of chips. The cheeseburger was delicious. Would absolutely recommend this place, at all times of day. Will be back! I trust that they'll deal with any potential COVID-19 issues with...

Went there for lunch and had reasonably high expectations based on reviews from colleagues.

Staff: Really friendly and helpful. One of our colleagues dietary requirements were simply not an issue. So the service is genuinely excellent.

Atmosphere: It's a cool joint, no doubt, and exactly as expected. Some may find it a bit dark, but I didn't mind at all. Music wasn't too loud so you could actually enjoy a conversation.

Food... Had the Marys burger. Taste: pretty good, I certainly wouldn't knock it back. The meat was cooked nicely, their sauce isn't over powering, and it was clearly put together well. My issue isn't that it didn't taste ok (and most of us agreed), however, it certainly wasn't the "best burger in Sydney". Quite good, but not exceptional so. No, the biggest issue is that most of us finished it in three mouthfuls.

Where's the rest of it?

I'll happily pay a premium for eating in the middle of the city, but if I wanted a snack, I could have gotten a cheeseburger from Maccas and paid 70% less (and the fries would be about the same).

So overall, a bit of an anti-climax, and I try to limit the number of reviews I give when my experience wasn't overall very positive, however, the four of us that went for the first time all had exactly the...

Inviting and unique atmosphere. Very interesting looking decor and seating. It is quite an impressive experience walking in to this place. It is so well thought out and a pleasure to sit in here for any amount of time. It has a dim dark and warm feel to it, a kind of heavy metal candle lit ambience. The walls are filled with graffiti and art that the customers can draw on. The food here is simple but amazing. Very fresh and well made. Everything on the menu has a vegan alternative which is awesome. The chips are very good too. There are a lot of options for drinks and they taste great and are very well made. The seating has a pub / bar vibe to it but they are really spacious and comfortable. The service goes above and beyond to help the customers and they are extremely friendly and welcoming and knowledgeable about all the offerings. It is a bit on the pricier side but still very worth it. The vegan cheese tastes amazing here !! Overall a very pleasurable and tasty and comfortable experience here. I definitely...

Came in for burgers after work. Got the spicy chicken burger with extra chicken. For me the fried chicken was not spicy, it tasted moreso like it was overcooked in oldish oil as the crumb just had a burnt taste. Chicken itself was very moist and tender. Unfortunately the burger itself had no real taste (possibly just the burnt taste overpowering the other flavours…. who knows), however did not see/taste any sauce…. did add quite a lot of chilli sauce to it myself but that didnt even help. The fries were amazing and so was the service. Great layout indoors and decent amount of outdoor seating also. Probably just caught them on an off day, however last Friday fell short of expectations. (Will go another time and if the burger is great I’ll update my score). Definitely worthwhile visiting it and trying it out yourself though. Really loved the QR ordering system… I feel like all eateries and pubs should offer facility.
