I’m utterly perplexed by the lack of customer service at this McDonald’s. I simply wanted to buy a Diet Coke and two iced waters, but the drive-through line was long, and I didn’t want to add to the inconvenience. So, I decided to go inside and wait at the counters.
After waiting for 10 minutes with multiple workers walking past me without acknowledging my presence, I resorted to using the self-order screen. However, it didn’t display a number or a receipt, leaving me uncertain if the transaction had been successful.
Once the food orders were prepared, I finally received my Diet Coke. I then asked for two large cups of iced water for my friends in the car. But instead of responding, the workers simply walked away.
I thought I’d wait for them to return, but when they did, I repeated my request. Reluctantly, they went and got the cups, but when they dropped them, they were just ice.
At this point, I had spent 40 minutes in McDonald’s, and I was exhausted. I decided to take the ice cups and leave.
As someone who used to work in customer service, I understand that some customers can be unreasonable. However, I always tried to be helpful and respectful, even when dealing with difficult requests. I felt that I was being polite and reasonable, but something very simple that I used to do all the time with customers.
It was shocking that this happened to me. But I must admit that most of the other McDonald’s stores I’ve visited are much better organized and provide better customer service. I hope they can take a page out...

I was very unsatisfied by the customer service provided at this McDonald's. I ordered a medium quarter pounder meal with a coke zero no ice, however when I advised the staff serving me, my drink was underfilled. The staff responded this is because there was no ice added to the drink. The drink did not meet customer satisfaction and expectation that the cup should be filled with the beverage to the level that a medium coke zero should be, with or without ice.
I thought the customer is always right? My request is not unreasonable and the staff should of filled the drink to the brim without question. I was very disappointed to continue the conversation as it's wasting my time compared to the price I paid. How long does it take to top up a drink and make the customer happy compared to if I continued the conversation when I have better things to do?
This is poor staff training and the the staff should know how to treat their customers better.
In addition the drink has been watered down and the taste is unpleasant.
The google star rating does not do justice as this store is not worthy of receiving recognition in star rating. It deserves no stars. You've have lost another customer. This stingy act tells me this McDonald's is out for profit compared to making good customer relationships.

Read moreIt's Sunday, 13 October 2024. Approximately 0920h. Place was basically devoid of customers. Should've been a quick stop for coffee and a couple of snacks.
Took almost 10 minutes to get our coffee (I was wondering whether they were actually milking the cow to get milk for mine, or crushing some soy beans to make my wife's soy flat white), but after much consideration, I believe that they were just really slow. Not a huge deal. Sometimes that incredibly efficient (but not so accurate, and not so neat) machine that is McDonald's just isn't that efficient.
Back in the car and on the road. Then we realise that our coffee doesn't taste like coffee - it tastes like really hot water! There might've been some coffee and milk in my cup, But I couldn't taste it.
Considering the fact that Australia is where McCafe was launched, you'd think you'd be able to get a halfway decent coffee at any McDonald's in the country. Perhaps this is true at some McDonald's, but at McDonald's Drummoyne on that date - at that time - it was not.
Baeed on the other reviews of this McDonald's, I'm not alone in my experience. I've seen other McDonald's where the franchisee replies to Google reviews, but based on the lack of responses from this owner, it looks like the owner of McDonald's Drummoyne knows that there's no shortage of people who will return to his/her restaurant despite the subpar service...
