Every time I have gone here, there are always issues with my order and usually because the person serving me doesn't understand what I'm ordering. The last time I ordered breakfast and had the problem resolved by the manager, when the server took my order wrong because their English was so poor. The most recent experience: I order a wrap, verbally name the wrap type, for the server to once again repeat the wrong order back to me, instead of rump steak, she says lamb, I correct her and she looks at me like she has no idea what I'm talking about. I point it to her on the board behind her, she gazes at it and then asks me which one, for me to repeat my order again. She hands me my receipt, I pick up it to leave and when I reach my destination, a few blocks away, I see that I've been given a chicken wrap. I check the receipt I have, and she entered my order as crispy chicken wrap. When I called this store to complain to the manager, specifically telling her that they keep on hiring people who can't understand English, she called me a racist. I told her that I was calling so they can be made aware of the issue, because I paid for the order I made, not what I got, that I probably overpaid them, but the issue was not a refund or credit. In the end I hung up after telling her that I would never visit that store again. I'm sorry, but this is Australia, the national language is English. I'm unable to order in mandarin or cantonese or any other language. I picked her up on her comment, telling her not to dare call me a racist when their customer service is so bad. How else was I to order? In gibberish? Then because she accused me of being racist, I rang up head office to complain about her conduct. All up, it's a pain to order anything here when you're served by an international student who don't understand basic English and it annoys me when businesses employ people who cannot perform basic procedures like take a basic order. How hard can it be to take an order for one wrap and a drink? At this McDonalds, extremely difficult if you're being served by someone who can't...
Read moreSadly, I can't be too effusive about any McDonalds visits of late. The staff are pleasant enough I guess?! They're making an effort in an environment, that really has very little to offer. There is a distinct energy of fatigue I believe, almost an innate, inherent tiredness; a lack of stimulation, of enthusiasm, of excitement for life & this is starkly reflected in the somewhat lackluste countenance of both staff & patron & the immediate environment does little to inject colour, curiosity, excitement or wonder into the equation. In fact, it is quite drab & uninspiring. Nothing noteworthy to admire the talent required even if not to your taste. Just uniform, stock standard dribbles of effort.. . Even on weekend evenings, when the young partygoers come out to play, to see & be seen, this diffidence is still the predominant energy . Their merriment & gay abandon no longer dissipates the heaviness & really it's actually quite deceptive when it comes to the menu & pricing. The size of everything seems to have diminished significantly, whilst the prices have increased significantly. The epitome of disproportionate! I was once distinctly comforted by the fact that when the chips were down, there was always Macca's for an affordable, almost tasty refuel. Now, I just become indignant & saddened that it's not what it used to be & likely never...
Read moreThis place is a health hazard and needs to be closed down. The place is frequented by beggars who come inside and ask you to buy them food or give change regularly. On weekends the place is a walking hazard and used tissues are thrown over the floor like a minefield. It stinks in there! I recently ordered a crispy chicken order and came to know from cashier that it has bacon in it as well (way to mislead Mcdonalds!). There is nothing mentioned about this on the menu. So when I told her to remove the bacon, I was really furious to find Bacon stuffed in my order. Any other place and this could become a case of a legal lawsuit. Anyways, I marched downstairs to tell the girl to replace the burger as it still has bacon strips inside. No apologies, no mentioning of 'sorry' as well and she just went "ohh O. K.. So you want to replace it? ", I later asked her to change the order altogether. I grabbed hold of the chatting manager who seems to give zero sh** that the whole place is becoming a garbage dump. I told him about his staff's lack of manners and training towards customers. In the end he at least apologised.
This is not the end. I have now half a mind to complain about location's hygiene issues to fair trading. We dont need these kind of over crowded, mismanaged places to be...
