Went into McDonalds today, my father needed a coffee, we were in abit of a rush to go up to the hospital to see my step mother. My father went to purchase my children milkshakes as a treat. I explained, may as well get happy meals as a treat plus the minecraft promo was on and both my children love minecraft. That’s where I made a mistake. Waited 20 minutes for these happy meals, there was plenty of staff on, 2 supervisors from what I could see and an additional 2 managers. As someone who used to be a store manager of a McDonalds 10 years ago. I wanted to go behind the counter and ask what is going on and do it myself. How were they so greatly unorganised? It seems the kitchen had several hold ups. I seen the manager having to give 3 refunds to customers as the wait was ridiculous, staff were yelling at each other, it was chaos. All at 10:40am. The dining room seemed so tense as everyone were waiting a while. I get it is a hectic time as they transition from breakfast menu to lunch. But it is a daily event. When I received the happy meals the fries were cold and quarter filled, I had to ask for fresh fries and for them to be properly filled which I hate doing. The dining room was completely trashed, every bins was over flowing, the toilets were disgraceful, only pro about the dining area was that the playground was available to ensure my kids didn’t fight with each other due to the ridiculous wait.
Pros - Shake machine worked though, the coffee was good and the kids requested cheeseburgers without a pickles and onions which is what they got. The girl who served me in front counter had great customer service and didn’t fold under pressure, she deserves praise! There was a lot of annoyed customers.
But still, was a complete ordeal, and to be honest, I will never come back to...
Read moreWe ordered a Tex Mex burger deal, Large Fries at 6.25pm last night at the Campbelltown outlet. We waited 15 minutes and my daughter asked what was happening. We then received the order soon after. The server made up the Large Fries. My daughter brought the order over and I began to eat my Tex Mex burger and Medium Fries and both were clearly cold and must have been left standing on the line. We sent them back and they were replaced. Later I ordered coffees and the server did not know how to ring them up. Staff were generally not attentive. Other customers around us were also complaining about the delays. There did not appear to be a clear Senior Manager in charge, as the staff were not well managed or coordinated. The sitting area in the restaurant, including all tables and the floors, were filthy. No one appeared to be doing any cleaning up or mopping, as there was food waste left all over the floor and tables for the entire time that we were there. We eventually found a small table in the side area which was relatively clean. This was my worst ever experience in a McDonalds outlet in my life and I would not recommend that others go there. Find somewhere else! McDonalds, this is certainly not good enough. Do better please! You should be paying the customers to eat at this place, given all of the problems I experienced on my visit last night. If I could have I would have given a zero star rating for the experience and quality of food and service. Not...
Read moreI had the worst customer service experience at your Campbelltown branch this morning.
I went to grab a breakfast and a coffee. At the front counter, I was given order number 187 for my breakfast. When I went to the hot drinks counter, I heard my number called again. Since there were other people waiting before me, I politely asked the staff if the latte was mine, just to make sure I wasn’t taking someone else’s order.
Instead of answering me professionally, the lady in a gray long-sleeve shirt wearing eyeglasses suddenly laughed loudly, as if mocking me. When I asked why she was laughing, she just looked at her coworkers, laughed again, and gave no response. This is completely unacceptable behavior. I also work in hospitality, and I know this is not how customers should ever be treated.
A little advice for that staff member: if you want to laugh at customers for simply clarifying their order, maybe save the comedy act for after your shift. People don’t come to McDonald’s for a stand-up performance, they come for their food and coffee. Professionalism is the main dish in hospitality, and she might want to learn that before serving the...
