Molo Bar — Restaurant in Sydney

Very disappointed! We booked in Molo bar because of Manta Restaurant. I think we could have a better experience in Hunter connection on a $15 meal. First, the service non existed. There was one person around to serve us and he was no present at all. We ordered cocktails, sparkling water, wine, the whole lot. We had to keep looking for water to have some water, order or anything. Plus the drinks took forever. Then the food... jesus!! such a beautiful products as prosciutto, sardines, etc... but my 3 years old kid could designe a better way to put those beauties in the plate.. clearly there was not chef in the kitchen even though the price deserves a professional. The Waiter has not idea of service. He should recommend or at least give some suggestions. We ordered two pasta plates, one “milanesa” and a sashimi plate. The pasta plates were appropiate with a main dish, but the sashimi was a starter size which we didnt know. My plate, the milanesa, came with no size dish or soever. Just a piece of meat. Really??? I should expect a size dish or at least a comment from the waiter for a $40 main dish... right? the desserts were the only good thing that happened to us. This is the first time I score one star. The thing is the service was bad, the plates bad, the price non appropiate with the food and drinks... what else to score.. Hard times for hospitality. I know. But today i was ripped off.. hope you use this feedback to grow. I was a good Manta client but im not sure...

I recently celebrated my birthday at Molo Bar with 30 friends, and it was nothing short of spectacular! The entire experience was a feast for the senses—from the elegantly set tables to the exquisitely delicious food, every detail was perfection. The service and atmosphere were impeccable, making everyone feel completely at ease. My guests haven't stopped talking about the truffle fries, the stunning location, and the outstanding service. Alina was phenomenal from start to finish, organising everything with utmost professionalism and always being ready to accommodate any changes. If you're planning a celebration, Molo Bar is the place to be, and Alina is the person to see. The staff there are incredibly welcoming and delightful. Excellent place on the pier for an afternoon drink and bite to eat watching the sunset. Perfect place to visit on a summer evening. The staff were absolutely fantastic, extremely attentive and very professional. We had a beautiful Bellini and a Hugo with fresh mint. The food was very quickly prepared and hot and delicious. The petit fours were home made and had such delicious chocolate truffles that my friend asked if he could buy a dozen to take home. The waiter asked the kitchen and to our pleasant surprise obliged. Very reasonably priced for such high quality food in a very chic location. The decor is modern french style, bright and colourful pastels, with fresh white lilies on the counter.
