Muffin Break Hornsby — Restaurant in Sydney

We dropped into Muffin Break on Thursday 29th August 2024 at around 9:30am on our way through to Westmead Hospital from Newcastle to have some morning tea,

My mum and sister gluten free Apple & Berry Muffin and I got a chocolate chip muffin heated up they were quite yummy and fresh , Mum was meant to have a Dairy Farmers Skim Milk Cappuccino coffee it was nice and hot but the negative part was it looks as though the girl making that coffee has gone and used the Dairy Farmers full cream milk despite her being told by both Mum and the other staff member she is not to use the full cream milk and has to use the skim milk as Mum can and has ended up in the John Hunter Hospital here in Newcastle due to life threatening allergies to the full cream milk and when we got to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead she was there probably around 30 minutes when she got extremely sick and was in and out of the public toilets for half of our visit and nearly had to get off the train several times for the bathroom,

I advise that the store owners and managers stop your staff from using the same jugs for both types of milk as that is dangerous move for your customers health and safety and train your staff members in properly understanding the process of allergies and intolerances . 🙂 Thank you Aimee (...

I had a bad experience today.

I ordered a coffee and asked the lady if I could have it in a cup. After I paid, she started talking to her colleague and ignored me—without any communication about whether the transaction was approved. I asked if I would get a number, but she said, "No, you need to wait here and carry your drink yourself."

When I went to sit down, my coffee spilled onto the saucer and the tissue underneath. I went back to the lady and asked her to pour my coffee into a takeaway cup. I also told her that this was the first time in my entire life that I had to carry a cup of coffee myself after ordering. She simply replied, "This is a food court."

It wasn’t my first time ordering in a food court, but I had never experienced this before. She didn’t apologize or offer any solution.

Just ordered a soy caramel latte and the guy who served me got the order wrong. I received a soy latte and not the caramel latte that I had ordered. They ended up not making it again with caramel syrup but instead just added caramel syrup to the coffee. The guy continued to argue that I didn't say caramel latte but I said to him that I did as I don't drink it without caramel. He was very rude and becoming slightly agitated.
