I had the pleasure of dining at Neko Neko Ramen today and it was absolutely fantastic. I tried their Ramens and the Agadeshi tofu, and both were bursting with flavor. The ramen had a rich, balanced broth with perfectly cooked noodles and fresh toppings one of the most satisfying bowls I’ve had in a long time. The Agadeshi Tofu was crispy on the outside, silky on the inside, and served in a delicious dashi-based sauce that elevated the whole dish. The ambience was warm, cozy, and beautifully styled with fun cat-themed touches that made the space feel playful and welcoming. It’s clear that a lot of thought went into creating a unique and inviting atmosphere. But what really stood out was the exceptional customer service. The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the food and experience they made the meal feel even more special. Whether you’re vegan, vegetarian, or just love great Japanese food, Neko Neko is a must-try. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Actually, we accidentally found this place for dinner. First of all, as a vegetarian, happy to find vegan and pescatarian restaurant in Sydney. We ordered Tan Tan Ramen and Age dashi Tofu and eggplant meal set. Tan Tan ramen broth was rich. We tried mild spiciness maybe extra spicy will be better. For the meal set I felt like it is really Japanese style side display rice and side dish. Pickles is citrusy I think they used yuzu. It made my mouth fresh. One thing, I want to mention, I expected age dashi tofu more soup base but it was with stick sauce. And Tofu with fried eggplant made me feel greasy also, I got soy braised eggplant for side dish. Maybe if someone order Age dashi todu and eggplant, you might replace eggplant to other side dish? Without that, It was awesome. The place is cozy, tidy, display with Japanese stuffs and there are a lot of Japanese beverage to drink!

The first thing you'll notice about this place is the front door. It's wooden, big and inviting. The rest of the venue is similar and beautiful. I was the only one during this lunchtime opening so the service was prompt and cordial. I ordered the something vegan salad with tempeh and the Neko Neko ramen. First the salad. I've never been a big fan of tempeh, the texture and taste doesn't do it for me. Until now. The salad was amazing, it was fresh and umami all in one and the tempeh was coated with something and crispy. It was delicious. The ramen was pretty average. It has a soy broth and I somewhat knew I wouldn't like it as much as the tan tan. Overall though the atmosphere combined makes a pretty special place.

I never review restaurants but this experience was outstandingly bad - I was very excited to try this vegan ramen restaurant however customer service was reallyyy horrible and spicy tofu ramen tasted like soy sauce and hot water. If the customer service was a little better it would have made my experience positive but the older man serving me was rude and sarcastic. I was dining by myself and booked in advance and was seated at the smallest and worst table right next to the front door so I kindly asked if I could sit at one of the vacant tables (happened to be a 4 seater table) and he sarcastically told me yeah if I find 3 other people to sit with I could sit there which is fair enough but he didn’t need to say it so rudely (this same table was free for the whole duration of my experience) so they seated me right next to another couple no social distancing at all (the restaurant was not busy so there was many other places they could have seated me). Food took ages to come out servers did not check up on me after serving me the food and just a horrible and disappointing overall experience...

Celiacs avoid - This is not the staff’s fault as they warned us, but my friend and I who are both celiac ate the gluten free ramen here. We were warned that there is very tiny trace amounts but that other celiacs have come here and were fine eating it. We decided to risk it because gluten free ramen is hard to come by and if other celiacs were fine, then it should be fine. Unfortunately we both had a reaction to it. My friends reaction was a bit more severe than mine. It’s a shame because it did taste nice and I would’ve come back if we had no reaction. I really think you should consider making it safe for celiacs, I’m sure you’d make good money from it too because of how hard it is to find gluten free ramen in Sydney and I’m sure it won’t affect the taste of it’s only tiny trace amounts of gluten to begin with. I’ll also add, I ate gluten free ramen a few times in Japan in January and it tasted great too and I had no reaction then! So I know it’s possible 😅. Hope you consider making it safe for celiacs, if you do, I’ll be happy...

Amidst the cacophony of clattering dishes and boisterous chatter, I found myself ensconced in a restaurant where even the simplest act of conversation was drowned out by the relentless din. The seating, an uncomfortable arrangement of unforgiving chairs and cramped tables, offered little respite from the tumultuous surroundings, leaving me yearning for reprieve from the discomfort that plagued my every moment.

Altogether, this vegan ramen stands as a lamentable testament to the pitfalls of culinary experimentation. With a broth mired in confusion, a broth devoid of umami, and toppings that offer naught but a tasteless charade, this dish fails to evoke even a whisper of gastronomic delight. In the realm of Tanten men, it is a mere phantom, a shadowy apparition that fades into obscurity amidst the vibrant tapestry of culinary offerings. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this disheartening excursion into the world of vegan ramen, for it is a journey fraught with disappointment and devoid of...
