Out of all the restaurants on the Darling Quarter strip, this is by far my favourite.
The food is exceptional (I’ll let it speak for itself) at a good price. There’s never a time where I’ve felt skimped on the portions - quite the opposite. I’ve visited this place multiple times and not once have I left not feeling satisfied or full.
The space is also welcoming, and asks you to take your time away from the rush of Darling Quarter. I’ve come here with a book in hand, stayed well past finishing my food, and the staff never once bothered me or implied for me to move on.
To top it all off, the people who work here make the place what it is. I’ve seen the manager on the floor helping staff on numerous occasions - taking orders and running back into the kitchen to help. You can tell the owners want to get the basics right, and genuinely care about the place. It is a business that values the customer, quality, and care. It does not sacrifice any of these for the sake of profit.
I’d especially like to mention a bright young lady who has helped me out on a number of occasions - Destiny. You can tell Destiny is happy to be where she is and it shows in her customer service. Each time I’ve visited Chatime or Noodleface, she welcomes you with a smile and a bubbly attitude. I’d never had Chatime before and she walked me through the menu, asked what kind of mood I was in and then tailored the drink to suit me. She was bang on and I never have to wait long. She is also super helpful when she takes my order at Noodleface, and it is this experience that keeps me coming back!
What a rare type of place this is...

I ordered the Lanzhou beef noodles, and was instantly impressed by the flavoursome broth combined with a wide range of condiments available. I also ordered a grape tea from the Chatime located beside this restaurant, which exceeded my (already high) expectations.
However, the meal itself paled in comparison to the service I received. Destiny, a Chatime employee, made sure I was well looked after throughout my dining experience, providing suggestions when I was unsure of what I wanted to order and periodically checking to ensure I was enjoying my meal. As someone who dines out frequently and also works in front-facing roles, I had never encountered someone so competent and caring. Her coworkers at Noodle Face were also incredibly attentive to my needs and seemed like lovely people. They are all true assets to the business, and the service I received has me impatient for my next fix of beef noodles and Chatime! Big thank you to everyone who served me tonight, you have truly made this a...
Read moreStumbled across this place during their soft opening. Given its idyllic location in Darling Quarter I was surprised at how reasonable their prices were.
I’m also accustomed to indifferent service in nearby Chinatown with these type of noodle places so was again surprised to see how friendly and personable every staff member I encountered was.
The noodle dish I had was quite tasty but didn’t have enough chilli kick for me. Fortunately they have a self-service counter where you can add things like chili oil/powder, sesame seeds etc. Unfortunately I then overdid the spice level but thankfully the shop shares a space with Chatime so I was able to enjoy an icy drink with my spicy noodles.
My favourite thing though - totally didn’t expect the chairs to be as comfy as they were! It’s like sitting down into a small fluffy cloud. My butt was very happy!
Honestly, if you’re looking for a place to eat around Darling Quarter and don’t want to break the bank you’d be hard pressed to do much better than this place. I’ve spent a lot of time around this area and this noodle shop is a...
