I've been loving dopa since the first time I tried it, never been disappointed at other branches but this is an exception. I ordered the angus beef don.
when the meal first arrived, the rice is just cold, not warm at all. Unlike other branches that I've visited.
The beef slices are rare! this is very disappointing. I've been eating their angus beef don at other branches and they always come out just medium rare with pretty pink colour. This is very red and I can feel the rare part is still a bit cold. It's just not a few slices but half of my meat are rare and uncooked. There's still some rare juices came out and stain the rice on my friend's dish, I feel this is so unacceptable.
When I complained about my rare beef, they said the beef should be like this 'medium rare'. But I said this is rare and other branches didn't serve the beef like this. They agreed to cook it a bit more. HOWEVER, they just TOSSED MY EATEN BEEF TO THE GRILL. This is not a good restaurant etiquette. There will be cross contamination to other meat cooked in that grill.
Tbh, i don't like writing stuff like this but this needs attention from the head manager of DOPA. Since this quality is very unacceptable, please check this branch and train the staff more on how to handle the complaints. Overall, I'm not gonna eat at this branch anymore.
Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of the rare beef. This photo I attached is AFTER the beef has been grilled a bit more after I complained, not the one served to...
Read moreWorse service ever received in Sydney. Or best to say no service at all. We came here for dinner. More than half the tabled were free outside as well as inside. So we grabbed one. Went to front to order. The lady told us we have to line up and wait with the crowd and can only order once seated. There was a machine to skip the line and order. But we were also not allowed to skip the line for food order. Whixh would save time. This way you have to wait for table and then again for food. Nit sure why it exist if noone can use it. There were at least 20 people lining up when 50% or 60% of the venue was empty with tables. So chaotic. When I asked why don't you seat people rather then causing such chaos and make everyone line up where there's so many tables free and let them order at the machine so you don't even have to take order yourself, the very rude, stressed out lady said "they have not enough staff". In a rude, angry tone. Custumers don't need your help to sit down the table and order at the machine. It will actually help you and resolve all the chaos. I think they're very disorganised, inexperienced, don't think on the spot and being rude makes them unprofessional. We left. Therefore can't...
Read moreI used to love this place. My last one two months ago was disappointing and I went there again today to give them another chance just to be disappointed again. Ordered Burger don and agedashi tofu for bubba. Agedashi tofu was soggy and drenched with oil. No dashi broth left on the bowl, I must be trippin’ but I’m sure agedashi tofu need to have a little bit broth in it. It was just a bowl of soggy fried tofu and soggy seaweed. My Burger don was ok but totally not worth it. The burger was dry and a lot of chili sauce on top of it. Not enjoyable. I understand that it’s a self serving place. First I need to ask them for the buzzer. Just put the buzzer near the ordering machine if you don’t want to be bothered by customer. I went with my toddler, no one help me at all. I need to leave my child at the table when I grab the food and grab some cutleries. Luckily there was a table next to me (I think they are Kurtosh’s customers) who were kind enough to look after my baby when I grab the food.
I was so dissatisfied I forgot to take pictures. For a place that already has a good reputation, this branch definitely need some improvement. Both in food and...
