What has happened!!?? The Norfolk used to be such a great bar and cosy courtyard with individuality, flair and patina .. hadn’t been for about 6 years but wanted to take a friend visiting from out of town there.. won’t be doing that again!! The whole courtyard has been stripped bare and you can’t sit indoors as the music at 5.30 pm on a Sunday was pumping so loud you can’t hear anything other than it ( including the bartenders!). Then we get to the food. I have had Rico’s in the past, but not here and when I had it elsewhere it was good… here, very very very bad and out of the ‘special’ at 5pm?? Food served on plastic plates and just ‘slop’.. for want of a better word. Tacos sitting in 2mm of liquid and just a soggy tragedy. Thank heavens La Salut which is the old public bar and is amazing ( but closed last Sunday) otherwise I’d never visit this corner ever again, just so so SO sad.. the Norfolk used to...

I would love to rate this pub 5 stars. As I really like it and it's one of my favore pub around this area since I moved in. The staff is verry friendly and helpfulk and definitely deserve 5stars and the specials are awesome. But i have feeling that management is getting gready as i started going to this place in about half year ago (weakly/ monthly) and there is verry often some change to special that decreases the quality of it. Like you get worse bears, food, price..... and for half a yer to go through many various changes that are not goot for the customers but for the management/owners. If it would be 1 change in that time I would fully understand but if they happening on monthly bases I'm worried about what will change next time when...

With a bar snack oriented menu that provides filling food priced against their drinks, this is a pub I keep in mind. Features as of this moment include: aggressively inexpensive cocktails ($10) which are actually cocktails including the whole performance and garnish on top decent beer prices paying for your drinks by eftpos a main bar that retains the character of a pub a large wine bar type space (the cocktail bit) that is like a 70s wine bar with less pretention some kind of outdoor / upstairs area, with pool? Never got further than the cocktails / snacks.

They do discount nights, including cheap tacos. Their bar staff seem to enjoy their...

Dropped in for a shared pre lunch after a busy morning of moving. We got the Mezze share plate and Salt and Pepper squid. What we got were super tasty, fresh and served with a smile (in the eyes, as the crew still need to wear masks) meals along with a chilled Sunday house soundtrack. Awesome place to hang out and the food is excellent. The aoili matched with the squid was so good. Thick slices of smoked salmon went well with the baba ghanoush and tzatziki dips. (Could've done with a tad more pita bread) Thanks for the great vibe! We will be back!

It’s just white bread and they can’t even cut it with a nice sharp knife so it isn’t mangled and falling apart. Use shokupan instead of this cheap thin white bread. The fish patty inside also not delicious, this crumbed goo with a weird taste. Sausage roll was mid with what seemed like undercooked pastry and saved by the ketchup, taco also underwhelming. Would think really hard about coming back for food. Michelada was decent. Spent $62ish and definitely wasn’t worth it.

Pretty nice, relaxing vibe inside with the comfy chairs and beachy umbrellas. Can't fault the happy hour from 4-6 pm! The only main cause of the disappointment was the burnt tacos we were served as part of their Taco Tuesday offering ($5 a piece). Wasn't that flavorful and a bit dry, sorry :( We also got the eggplant dip as an entree which was decent albeit a small serving. Service was nice and courteous. Happy to come back just for the drinks.
