Stepping into Kirribilli Wood Fire Kitchen feels like coming home—only tastier! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was inviting: warm lighting, rustic charm, and the comforting scent of wood‑fired cooking. This place immediately set the tone for a relaxed and delicious evening.
Our first choice of the night was the prawn pasta, and oh, what a delight it was.
The dish was generously loaded with succulent, perfectly cooked prawns, each bite bursting with fresh ocean flavour.
The garlic was beautifully balanced: just enough to provide that intoxicating aroma and taste, without overpowering the delicate prawns. The pasta itself was cooked to an ideal al dente—firm yet tender—and it was coated in a silky tomato sauce that united all the flavours. It was a heartfelt and satisfying creation with no corners cut.
We followed this with the cheese pizza, which proved to be yet another highlight. Cooked in the roaring fire oven, the crust was crisp and lightly charred, with a soft, chewy interior that felt pleasingly artisanal.
The tomato sauce had a bright, tangy sweetness, and the cheese was lavishly layered—oozing, melty, and utterly comforting. It struck that perfect chord of simple ingredients executed with mastery.
But what truly elevated our experience was the friendly staff. Each server greeted us with genuine smiles, offered helpful recommendations, and checked in just enough to be caring but not distracting. Their warmth seemed as authentic as the food—personal, attentive, and welcoming.
Our evening at Kirribilli Wood Fire Kitchen left us with full hearts and equally full bellies. The flavours lingered, the ambiance soothed, and we couldn’t help but look forward to future visits. In a neighbourhood filled with great options, this cosy spot truly stands out. Highly...
Read moreOne of my Favorite pizza places and have been for years. My partner and i went there after a walk last night and the disappointment was undecribable. Been a beautiful night we really wanted to sit outside, on the way in i noticed there was no tables available so we decided to do a takeaway. After paying for the pizzas we were on our way out to wait and in a span of 2 mins a table had become free so i quickly asked the waitress if we could have the table? She said yes and that she needed a min to clean it which i was so happy and greatful about. Whilst we were waiting for our food, Two ladies with a dog on a leash and a empty dog pram arrived at the front and now the waitress asked us to move inside and said our table was meant for 3-4 ppl and that initially we had asked for a takeaway anyway, so my partner said we are happy to pay extra so that we can dine in but she refused the offer and said they needed somewhere for the pram. I was speechless that we had been asked to vacate our table for an "Empty dog pram". Whilst all this was happening our food was sitting on a board waiting to be served. I was furious at this point! 2 paying customers Vs 2 paying customers with an empty dog pram!?! so i said I'd like the pizzas takeaway and by the time we had it, it was stone cold and soggy. The most embarrassing experience at a...
Read moreI had dinner on two nights in a row because I got fond of this restaurant very much just on the first visit not only meal is very good but people there are very friendly, especially the owner is faithful and amazing. She remembered me on the second visit of mine, and she talked to me "You've come without your friends tonight." The bill for 300g ribeye steak and a small size of pizza with a bottle of a nice beer imported from Italy and two glasses of excellent Australian red wine was not expensive at all. If you ate them at somewhere else in Sydney, not here, it could be more than 100 AUD, but I just paid much less here than I estimated. I would like to say that Kirribilli Woodfire Kitchen became the best and most favorite restaurant of mine during the stay for over a week in Sydney. Although I leave Sydney in a day or two, I 'm sure I would come here once again time when I visit Sydney next.
And now, it's in the afternoon on September 16, I'm here again and a small chat with a lovely girl who likes Japan and studies Japanese. This is a great place to be relaxed over a cup of coffee with a cake of the day. Actually, I had dinner here last night too. This means this is the best Italian restaurant in...
