Extremely disappointing experience at Oporto Westpoint Blacktown
Blacktown Westpoint is currently giving vouchers to customers who spend over $50, and I had a few vouchers from recent shopping. Unfortunately, my visit to Oporto was one of the worst customer experiences I’ve had in a long time.
From the moment we tried to use the vouchers, the staff were unprofessional and disrespectful. It was clear they didn’t want to accept them. I was told that only one voucher could be used “per person,” which seemed strange because I’ve used multiple vouchers without any issue at other outlets in Westpoint. Still, I complied and redeemed just one voucher for my meal.
When my wife tried to place her order separately and use her own voucher, the staff suddenly refused and said she couldn’t use one because “your husband has already used his.” They kept changing their reasons — first calling it a “policy,” then saying “the system isn’t working,” and finally claiming that “the manager said not to accept vouchers from you.”
This whole situation was embarrassing, confusing, and completely unprofessional. Instead of blaming customers, the store should sort out its issues with Westpoint management. If Oporto doesn’t wish to participate in the voucher promotion, they should make that clear — not take it out on customers who are simply following the rules.
A very poor reflection on both the staff attitude and customer service standards at this outlet. Definitely won’t be...
Read moreOkay, I want to say, Oporto food is great. I've loved it since I was a kid, and I'll probably still love it for the foreseeable future. But I've been frustrated with this particular branch multiple times in my last few visits. The first time, I ordered online for a pickup, and I arrived a little early to pick up the food. They told me to wait just a few minutes. I was waiting for nearly 30 minutes, the whole time right by the counter, and when I finally lost my patience and asked if it was ready, they gave me my food. From a bag I had seen them place to the side over 20 minutes ago, without realizing it was mine. They kept me waiting for that whole time while the food was ready and cooling down. Another time, they just flat out forgot one of the items that should've been included in my order. I don't think I should need open the bag and check every time I pick up an online order, especially since that means there's no point to them sealing the bag. Once you've got the food, you're probably going to enjoy it. Oporto food is delicious, and most people will probably have nothing to complain about for the most part, but with those successive let-downs I myself will probably take some away. Just so I can safely get my dinner for the night without having to feel like I wasted my time and money...
Read moreI was disgusted and appalled by the service provided at this particular Oporto. The attitude on this younger girl was horrendous. She pretended to ignore my partner and I and was gewing gum while making a narling face directed at us. Her own co-worker had to physically turn her head to face us directly and serve us. She was rude and condescending the entire time. When I asked to please put my sides in cups She just sighed as if it was to much to ask for. After we waited for our order this girl who's name tag was covered started to point and laugh in our direction with another co-worker. When our food was ready they completely ignored what I asked for. My partner kindly asked for separate cups for the chips as putting them in a box would smother them and would go soggy. The other co-worker said "if I grab the cups can you just do it" rudely my partner replied "that's your job" she got annoyed stormed off and put the chips in the cups as requested and walked away leaving them on the counter for my partner to pack back in. This is unexceptionable behaviour and should be addressed immediately! These two girls should absolutely not be working in hospitality with terrible additudes displayed like today. Worst experience and this is coming from someone with 5yrs of...
