The food here is delicious! It's one of the best restaurants Cabramatta has on offer!
We ordered the bánh hỏi chạo tôm and the mì xào giòn bò and both were so tasty!
You get to wrap your own rice paper roll together with the fresh veggies, sugar cane shrimp, and noodles, and then dip it in the fish sauce dip. It tasted heavenly.
The fried noodles were also a banger. It had a nice wok hei flavour with tender beef and greens.
The wait was probably about 10 minutes outside, and there is a good waiting system outside where you can write your name and number of guests on the list, so you don't have to queue in a long line.
The atmosphere is energetic! They mostly played lively vietnamese club beat music on loop which was a great vibe!
There is one bathroom at the back, but you will have to pass directly through the bustling kitchen to get there. Just a warning that the floor can be slippery there. But, it's great to take a peek at all the fresh ingredients they use.
Would definitely recommend...
Read moreI have eaten at hundreds of restaurants all over Sydney and other places and I do not say this with any exaggeration whatsoever! Phu Quoc is by far the best Vietnamese restaurant I have ever been to anywhere in Australia so far. I love Vietnamese food and there are some magical places in Sydney but none will ever come close to this gem. The service is absolutely sensational and every time my wife my 2 year old son and myself walk into this restaurant we are greeted with smiles and offered a table and a high chair with smiles. It feels like walking into mum and dads house they are so welcoming. Spacious restaurant that gets busy with good reason. I can’t recommend just one thing here however my favourite thing to eat is the Vietnamese salad with spring rolls and other goodies. It’s fresh, vibrant and no flavour invades any other they all marry together with a sublime and exploding flavour punch. It’s affordable and it’s fresh and I will continue to come to this place for a very long time...
Read moreAt Phu Quoc, one dish has reigned supreme for as long as locals can remember: the iconic DIY rice paper rolls. While the menu offers plenty of variety, it’s this interactive, hands-on favourite—particularly the sugar cane prawn—that continues to steal the spotlight. The ritual is half the charm: dip the rice paper, layer in soft vermicelli noodles, crisp greens, and your chosen protein, then wrap, dip, and savour. It’s a dish that balances freshness, texture, and flavour in a way that never grows old. The restaurant itself is bright, clean, and modern, with service that rarely misses a beat. The only inconsistency lies in the greens—on a good day, they’re vibrant and crisp; on others, less so. And while Phu Quoc’s reputation has stood the test of time, the scribbled-out prices on the menu can leave diners second-guessing what’s still available. Still, when it comes to Vietnamese dining traditions executed well, few experiences match the simple joy of rolling your own sugar cane prawn...
