Its unfortunate to see the decline in quality from what Viet Hoa used to be. It used to be the place to go where youd wanted a Banh Mi anytime, 24/7...i remember the rolls used to be a little more satisfying even though they were slightly more pricier than the competition...you didnt care as there wasnt many other options at 2am in the morning..and youd expect it to be pricier based on the main strip... Possibly due to change of ownership, or the skyrocketing prices of ingredients, rent and whatnot...(probably a combination of everything that covid has given us) it was a bit of a miss for me this time around. The lady who'd served us seemed a little grumpy (i guess our order of 4 Banh Mi's meant customers arriving behind us may have had to wait longer..), muttered something unintelligible about the prices, and was not exactly generous on filling in the already small (and chewy) bread by the way. Amusing that the size of the tongs used to grab the ingredients had shrunk in size with everything else... To top it off, prices may be subject to change than what is advertised. The classic pork roll (Banh Mi Thit) remains at $6, but if youre wanting the privilege of a sprinkling of pork skin in it (it becomes the pork & pork skin roll - Banh Mi Bi) its becomes $7.50, not as advertised at $6...of which we'd purchased 3 of. Banh Mis have always been an underpriced offering and happy to pay more considering inflation, but Id rather go elsewhere to satisfy the stomach when there are so many options around the corner to choose from (just not after midnight). Sorry Viet Hoa hopefully things improve for you soon...

Once upon a time the pandan chiffon cake used to be great here (very fragrant, light and fluffy). I bought a pandan chiffon cake on Sunday and not only did I not taste pandan, I barely even smelled it). The chiffon wasnt even fluffy it was basically a tea cake (mind you it’s now $13), for that price I recommend just buying the pandan chiffon from an Asian grocery store. Also, I used to buy pork rolls from here all the time as it is pretty much the only pork roll place that is open late, however every time I purchase it, I lose my appetite before I even get it in my hand. Reason being, they always have a tendency to pick up the pickled carrots and shake their hands to the point that 90% falls back down and you end up with 10 shreds of carrot on your pork roll. Shame as the pork roll here isn't too bad especially if you get a fresh roll.

Extremely rude older lady wearing glasses doing the night shift. This place was never like this. I asked for 2 chicken rolls- she assumed I don’t eat pork and left out the pate. When I asked about this she started yelling so loud and fighting stating I should’ve let her know when I ordered that I wanted pate and that there was a long line. There was no long line, only 2 ppl behind us that stated they were not rushed when they saw her unnecessary anger. Every chicken roll comes with pate! She placed the rolls really roughly into the bags while shouting and slamming stuff. Every time I spoke she told me to “shhhhh” and kept telling me she doesn’t care. She also proceeded to rip me off charging me extra with the change being $10 short and one of the sandwiches not having chilli or sauce!. Every time I spoke up I got an “I don’t care” from both staff members. I worked nearby for 2 years and this place was good, I don’t know what happened. Very...
