Pimarn Trek Restaurant - Sri Lankan and Thai Cuisine — Restaurant in Sydney

I visited Trek Restaurant one fine Summer eve, and let me tell you, when I say I was impressed- I'm lying. Because to be impressed, you need to have anything but the highest of expectations, and knowing the history of the Trek family and their delicious food (especially Samantha and his award winning recipes), I went in knowing it would be nothing less than perfection. The entire experience from start to finish was wondrous. I was greeted at the door by the handsome Shennen (I nearly didn't see him at first because he was quite short but luckily his younger brother pointed him out). Shennen graciously took my coat and sat me at the finest table with a beautiful view of the carpark, where I began my meal. I was served plates of the most elegant, delicious flavours. The aromas from the kitchen filled the dining area, and paired with the gorgeous photos of Sri Lanka hanging on the wall, I felt as though I'd been transported to the busy cities of Colombo, or Kandy, or Jaffna. The tables were quaint and perfectly suited the style that this restaurant expresses, a touch that very few other establishments consider when creating their Food-Homes. I particularly liked the small decoration hung high on the front wall, I thought it to be perfectly positioned and quite beautiful in its own way. This is a fantastic restaurant that offers tasty Sri Lankan food at a reasonable price. Staff is very friendly and customer service is excellent. They ask for pick up time at the time of ordering food and the food was ready on time and very well packed every-time I went there to pick up my food. No delays at all.

I enjoyed their Sri Lankan Hoppers and Lumprais and can say with confidence that I have never enjoyed more delicious food anywhere in Sydney.

Recently found this place near my home. They have the BEST hoppers that I have tasted in Sydney. Their rice and curry often includes traditional curries that are hard to find like mallum, kiri kos and nelum ala. The food tastes like its been cooked in your home. Definitely worth a try.
