Went here not too long ago with 5 friends, expecting a nice evening out. Nobody met us at the door to seat us so we found our own way. We ordered a bottle of Merlot wine which seems like it had been opened before as there were splashes on the bottle neck label and it didn’t taste like freshly opened wine. So when it came to the food, I had garlic prawns to start and the calamari as a main. The prawns were tasteless as if they’d been cooked from frozen, and piping hot so whether a microwave had been used I don’t know. When my calamari came out I noticed that the batter was still quite pale and undercooked as is was also a little soggy. some of my chips looked like they hadn’t seen the fryer (cold and white) and everything on that plate was also tasteless so I sent the whole dish back. I genuinely felt like I was visiting a restaurant in kitchen nightmares. However the staff were pleasant
I went to pay for what I actually ate ($18 worth) and by accident they charged my card for $80 because they misheard me. Think it’s safe to say I won’t be...
Read moreI gave this place 5 stars when I first tried it about a year ago. I've had pizza from here too many times to count since then, and my only complaint is that they're so good I don't eat takeout from anywhere else now, which can't be good for me. Probably my favorite pizza of all time, anywhere ever. I'm moving out of Sydney in a week, but I'll be going here every time I visit.
My rec is the Da Noi special (mushroom, ham, onion, cabanossi, pineapple, capsicum - sometimes I add egg and/or anchovies). But their bases and red sauce are so good that even the simplest pizza is a pleasure, and they're never stingy with toppings.
I also sometimes like to order the veges and some bread, which I have the next day for lunch, dipping the bread in the reheated garlicky butter on the vegetables.
Their nutella pizza was a huge hit with my friends!
I haven't really been much in person, despite living close, but when I have gone to pick up a pizza the place and staff were lovely.
Anyway, thanks for many many many...
Read moreI live five minutes away so I thought it’s time to give Pizza Da Noi a go since they have gathered such good reviews.
I had their Salciccia Pizza from the gourmet pizza menu. The taste was too odd for me as they have included caramelised onions and capsicum which made the pizza tasted overly sweet. Sweet pizza just tasted weird to me it’s like having egg fried rice with chilli jam. Ask Uncle Roger! 😁 But it’s my own fault I didn’t read carefully what ingredients it’s made with when I ordered. But now that I have, isn’t Chorizo Spanish sausage? When I see salsiccia I immediately think of the Italian pork and fennel sausage. Oh well.
As for the Fettuccine Marinara, the taste was surprisingly fine after I have tasted the weird pizza. However, not a fan of the thick squid rings from frozen tubes they used, surprised to see the thick tentacles but they both tasted rubbery like those from typical cheap suburban pasta. The prawns were quite...
