Don't judge a book by its cover. This traditional looking pub has been transformed on the inside. A little bit French, a little bit modern & a lot of quirky sassiness. Priscilla's offers drag & dine - beautiful food, a lot of which are plant driven & have South American influences & different drag performances every night. There is a huge menu to choose from which are all designed to share. Start with the signature zingy guac or one of the delicious ceviches. Move on to the vegetable driven section full of delicious items that even a carnivore would approve. Cauli & broc "wings" have a beautiful charred flavour then lightly coated & fried or perhaps "crabless" fritters which you won't miss animal protein, or the eggplant parmigiana - thin & crunchy. There is also whole fish, chicken achiote (which is so tender you can cut with a fork) or steak that are great to share, as well as paella both traditional and vegetarian. Don't leave without the lime brulee tart which is so tangy, so creamy & so delicious. The pineapple upside down cake is also a hit especially with their house made ice cream. Or end your night with a kick in the chilli choc brownie. With a fun cocktail list & wine list, coupled with entertainment & amazing vibes & food, Priscilla's is where you'd head to for a all...
Read moreVery disappointing. We felt forgotten all night, and left irritated. Food was delicious, but service was so bad it almost ruined our night. First, it was drag and dine and we booked weeks ahead, but they sat us in a corner table behind the kitchen where we couldn’t see anything.
Next they dropped our initial bottle of bubbly as they tried to open it, smashing glass at our feet and spraying alcohol (and potentially glass) in the eyes of one of our party, forcing him to leave the table to check his eyes were ok.
It then took them over 20 minutes to bring the replacement bottle. Another 20 plus mins for any wine we asked for later on. I’d understand if we ordered cocktails but it was just 2 glasses of rose.
Any time we ordered we never felt reassured it would actually show up. Not sure if there was a lot of new wait staff on tonight. Recommend some training. Only one out of all the wait staff we spoke to made us feel looked after.
Props to the kitchen, the food (banquet) was very good - which is why it still...
Read morePerfect for a casual lunch with your folks, a "treat yourself" brunch with friends or taking an out-of-towner out to dinner. Saturday night's Drag and Dine is a must - the entertainment is perfectly scattered throughout the night. Plus the Queen's visit around the tables and chat to diners. The food is amazing. The range of dishes and quality is outstanding. Perfect mix of vegetarian, omnivore and vegan options. Plus they can cater for gluten free if needed. I literally havent eaten anything here that I've not loved - favourites are the potato scallops, short rib and key lime tart. Cocktails are all to die for, tunes are on point, wine list is excellently curated.
Come for lunch, brunch, snacks or dinner: you'll definitely have...
