Shenkin Erskineville — Restaurant in Sydney

There are some people who would scoff at paying $15 for one of Shenkins famous wraps. But to them i would ask, "can you put a price on being totally and completely one with the universe?" The answer to that question is yes - and it costs $15.

Just being in the same room with this wrap grants a type of spiritual clarity. I used to sometimes ask myself such questions as, "what is the meaning of life?" Then, after eating the wrap, all of the answers came to me. When i finally ate this wrap, I felt the energy of the entire world flowing into my soul. I felt the stars align and transmit their celestial energy through every fiber of my being. I felt myself evolve.

You wouldn't imagine the things I could do after eating this wrap. I can create world peace. I can solve world hunger. I can solve the energy crisis. I can stop cancer. I can put ranch dressing all over my salad and not worry about my blood pressure, almost as if I was eating the low-fat-low-sodium ranch dressing. Except I'm not eating that garbage, I'm eating the real deal. Real ranch....

It was a funny place. My friend and I have breakfast around lunch time at 30/Jun/2024. The staff was nice at the beginning, and the coffee was nice too. But the kitchen burnt my breakfast, and they totally forgot my friend's meal. When i almost finished my meal ( I'm a super slow eater, even though I focus on my food it still takes me 30 minutes to 45 minutes 🙃), I had to ask the staff to check for us, which is that no one went to check our table. And the most funny thing is there is green sauce? or puree in our dish, the texture was sandy. I don't think the normal sauce should have a texture like that, but we didn't ask them to change. ( cause i don't expect the kitchen staff to check the ingredients before they serve, and if i did that, maybe it would take more than a long time to keep us there.) In the end, my friend figured out the FOH let another customer pay our table, and we are going to pay another table. This is my new favourite café if I am ever in the Newtown/Erskinville area. My good friend and I dropped by on a Sunday morning. First impressions: Good vibes and excellent atmosphere. The coffee was excellent (Latte and Cappuccino). It was so good we both decided to order seconds, sending out caffeine levels through the roof. My friend ordered the Aussie Big Breakfast while I ordered the Israeli Big Breakfast ($18.50 and $19). Both delicious and with generous servings. I am a 6 foot tall male, and it is extremely rare for me to struggle to clear my plate. Definitely excellent value.

A comment on the staff: all were excellent, friendly and my God, efficient!
