Sage 2160 — Restaurant in Sydney

We ordered wonton soup. Black bean sauce beef and pork knuckle. Soup was salty to a point all you could really taste was salt, even the noodles tasted salty. Beef was slightly over salted but barely okay with rice. Pork knuckle chef special was way too salty on the skin.

Fair enough but when I mentioned it to the cashier staff he seemed uninterested and brushed off my concerns. Did not relay the message to the manage who was less than 5 meters away or the kitchen which could be seen through the pass behind him. And continued taking peoples orders. No empathy or concern about how the food was just keep on going with his day.

This is a disappointment as Sage is one of the better restaurants in Merrylands RSL and I didn't expect such a lack...

Mediocre food, aswell as unwelcoming customer service. First time at Sage restaurant, eager to try it out. Ordered a ‘Grilled John Dory’, fish was overcooked, dry and tasteless. Aswell as ‘Half a rack of BBQ Pork Ribs’, cant taste anything but bbq sauce that smothers the ribs leaving pork ribs tasty porkless. Side salads were wilted, old and sad. Customer service is what brings the rating down even more. Not too sure if he was a supervisor or manager but overall, rushed our order so he could answer his phone. For the price of the food, service should be atleast above average but unfortunately the service created a less enjoyable experience.

This is by far one of the worst restaurants in the area. We have eaten here 3 times and had problems everytime. The food is poor quality, overcooked and not worth the money. I went to the RSL for the Sunday Raffle and went to order some food at 2.15pm and was told that last orders are at 2.15pm and pointed to a sign on the counter that had a tiny sentence in brackets that said last orders by 2.15pm, I said to her that is was 2.15pm, she looked at her watch and said it's 2.16pm.
