Booked a table for 2 at 7pm on a Friday night. Waited at the front for about 5mins for someone to actually come to us and get us seated. This wasn't too bad. We were given menus and we looked through them and we worked out what we wanted to order. We waited for someone to come by and take our order. I looked around and there were a few tables full of people who were there before us and they still had their menus in front of them meaning their orders weren't taken yet.
Sure enough someone finally come to those tables and took their order. Someone finally came to our table and we gave our order after waiting about 15mins. We ordered 2x pizzas and 2x drinks. One of the drinks ordered was a pink lemonade. When they brought it out, they said it was a pink lemonade but it was a lemon lime bitters. We let it go because we didn't want to make a fuss.
After about 40mins of waiting for our food, a staff member told us that they were very busy and our food will arrive in about 10mins. If they had said this from the beginning, we would've left and gone somewhere else for food. But the left it till the last minute to tell us that it would take longer than expected.
Pizzas were then delivered to the table behind us. We heard the customers saying that they didn't order what the waiter had put down in front of them. My partner had noted that they had sat down well after us so she was surprised they had got their pizzas before us. Then the waiter realised that he had the wrong table and those were our pizzas. We got our pizzas and they were good. Nothing special though. From being seated to actually eating took over an hour. So the fact that they got the drink order wrong, the late information that the food would be delayed, the mix up of food being brought to the wrong table is why I gave it a 2/5 stars.
Important to note that there is a brewery next to this place and a lot of their customers order pizza from here hence the long delays and being busy. If they had communicated this on our arrival I wouldn't have left this review. But they didn't so here we are. Also because I booked a table and left my email address, they asked me to leave a review so I have. If they didn't email me to leave a review, I probably...
Read moreWe ordered a pizza and wedges from the QR on a shared table with other people we didn't know. Apparently the waiter gave our pizza to them by mistake, they were a big group so they took it and didn't question who's pizza was it, just to share. When our pizza didn't arrive and I went inside to check if it was coming, the chef said there was nothing they could do. He told me that it was not their problem that we didn't get it, that we should have confronted the people who took our pizza (?). After explaining the misunderstanding to him he still didn't want to give us the food we paid for and didn't get. After gently explaining to him and trying to keep things calm and postive he agreed to make another pizza for us, yelling at his team looking angry and aggressive. A tema member brought the pizza. I thanked him and waited for the wedges. The chef comes again and asks sarcastically "do you want us to take the pizza to your table?". I just tried to keep things on a positive note so just told him I was just waiting for the wedges. He stormed out and yelled at his team in Italian about the wedges. Then drops them on my tray. I thanked him and the team for the efforts. The pizza was very tasty, but we were shocked by how rude, confronting and unpleasant the chef was, even when we treated him with respect at all times, trying to keep a friendly tone. Despite that, the food quality was really good and the rest of the staff...
Read moreMy enjoyment of the dining experience here has been less and less each time I’ve eaten here. The latest experience will be my last.
Firstly, they seem to charge more than any other reputable pizza place to have gluten-free and dairy-free options. Not to mention looking down their noses when ordering it. I wouldn’t mind if I was paying for quality but the standard of pizza that was served and the slapdash way one of the pizza plates smeared tomato sauce over the table, left me extremely disappointed. The veges were just dumped in the middle of one pizza and another didn’t have a very good spread of sauce. The cutting of the pieces was haphazard and not at all even. It looked like really poor attention to detail and no care or pride in the preparation. I had to send one pizza back for not being cooked in the middle and the replacement tasted worse.
To top it off, when I went inside to ask for a box, I gave the honest feedback about the standard of pizza and the guy just brushed it off as being a consequence of the bases we chose. No acknowledgement of the bad experience just a flippant ‘that’s what you get with those bases’ and walked away. Wow.
There are much better, friendlier options very close by. I’d recommend giving this one a big miss, it’s not good. I’m not one for writing negative reviews but this one needs...
