Very very disappointed in my first visit to Castle Tower’s San Churro. I am a frequent visitor to Wetherill Park’s store and was excited to see one open locally to me. First off the lay out is poor, the people waiting to order were getting confused by the people who had already ordered and waiting to pick up their food. Secondly, there were so many dirty dishes on free tables and not enough staff to cater for the busy weekend crowd. I saw customers clearing and cleaning the tables themselves. The preparation branches were extremely messy and unorganised, while staff members were placing cleaning supplies on the ‘Pick Up’ counter. I also witnessed staff carrying cleaning supplies and fresh food in their hands at the same time. I ordered two takeaway hot chocolates with toppings (one with a toasted marshmallow and the other with cookie butter). There was no numbering system or name taken for the staff members to inform the people waiting that their order was ready. After 20 minutes of waiting, a staff member placed the hot chocolates on the pick up counter and just quietly said “two Spanish hot chocolates” and walked off. I had to open the lids and checked if they were ours as the staff didn’t announce them properly. After all that, the hot chocolates had a funny taste and were not up to the usual San Churro quality. I am really hoping San Churro ups their game, otherwise they will lose a lot of customers.

I beg you—please do yourself a favor and avoid San Churros Castle Hill. This review isn’t based on just one bad experience but four consecutive ones. Every single time, it’s the same issues: rude staff, unwelcoming service, and terrible churros. The most recent visit on November 28th was the final straw. I placed my order at 9:37 PM, waited for 20 minutes, only to have a staff member casually inform me that they had run out of dough. They said it would take another 15 minutes to prepare more. I was patient and agreed to wait, hoping it would be worth it. What a disappointment. When the churros finally arrived, they were absolutely awful. They were greasy, undercooked, and tasted like raw dough soaked in oil. My partner and I couldn’t even finish them. We spent the entire night feeling disgusted because of how oily and poorly cooked the churros were. It’s not just the food—the attitude of the staff is unacceptable. They don’t care about customer service or the quality of what they serve. After this horrible experience, I will never return, and I strongly urge others to avoid this place too. San Churros Castle Hill seriously needs to fix their service and food quality. Until then, save your money and go somewhere else.

Came here last week to treat the kids for a birthday treat. Queued up on the counter to order and the lady left after getting an order from the person in front of me to chat with a friend (or possibly a coworker who was end of shift) who was giving them food. Waited for a minute or so and was confused if I was on the right counter. I asked her if this line was the queue as I was waiting to order. She didn't say anything and went back to the counter so I followed her and was apologetic and said sorry as I don't know where to line up. She wasn't even sorry and said she was busy serving another customer which was surely not the case. Our order arrived after a couple of minutes and was disappointed with what my daughter got. the wafer was all crumbled as if we were given something you would scrape of at the bottom of the tub. I asked if this is something they would serve regularly and was given the excuse that it breaks easily so it might not be the same as in the picture. If you look at the picture I included it doesnt look like it was a piece or two broken off. I guess you get what you pay for. Hope the management trains the kids to actually love what they do. Maybe that would help with the customer service.

Went here when it first opened with my partner we both had a nice drink each ice coffee and great churros even complimented the two bubbly girls that were on that day.

The only disappointment was a male staff member who had arrived while we were eating and because we wanted to take our drinks I went over and politely asked for x 2 takeaway cups for our drinks to take away, the male staff member who was folding serviettes at the time, I was then pointed in the direction of the water cups not spoken to.

I replied I didn't ask for water nor for a water cup, I repeated my request again only for the same thing to happen by this stage I was getting extremely frustrated at this male staff member listening skills so I tried a 3rd time and finally I just asked one of the two girls who went above ns beyond an apologised on the guys behalf.

The guy finally brought the 2x take away cups and I suggested that he needs to improve his listening skills to understand the customers needs.

25 th September. Time 244pm

Went today and 20mins just for churros that were hard as a rock and 3 customers after us get there's before us, not a good look either had to ask for fresh churros and to be perfectly honest wasn't much better. Which only took like 3-5mins so why the varying times?

Definitely no consistency in churros compared to the first time.

At the time of ordering there was one table of 4 already had there order and a couple so not busy at all in my eyes.

As for the takeaway drinks now in styrphone and the cup size for the price is an absolutely a joke and rip off especially when the top of lid isn't secure and won't be secure it will pop off at a moment's notice. Beware you will have it down the front of you if your not careful.

I would much prefer to retain my coffee than have my lid pop off an my drink spill everywhere thanks again for spilt coffee please get your takeaway cups and lids sorted.

Not to mention consistency of churros that are fresh and not rock hard.

Music was definitely too loud...

I recently visited San Churros with my 3-year-old son, and it was such a delightful experience! My little one absolutely loved the warm, freshly made churros, dipping them into the rich chocolate sauce with a smile that could light up the room. It’s not always easy finding a place where a toddler feels so welcome, but this visit was truly special.

What made our visit even more memorable was the exceptional customer service provided by the manager, who stood out not just for their striking looks—luscious black hair and dazzling blue eyes—but for their genuine care and professionalism. They went above and beyond to make us feel at ease, taking the time to engage with my son in such a kind and thoughtful way. Seeing them interact with him so warmly melted my heart, and it was clear they cared deeply about creating a great experience for every guest, no matter their age.

The manager also ensured everything was perfect, from our order to the seating arrangement, making sure we had everything we needed. Their friendly demeanor and attention to detail truly set the tone for a wonderful outing.

San Churros has always been a favorite, but this visit was on another level. My son is already asking when we can go back, and I know we’ll be returning soon—not just for the delicious treats but for the outstanding service that made us feel so welcome. A huge thank you to the amazing manager for making our...
