Do NOT recommend. Disgusting food items and customer service. Attempts to sell old products with risk of food poisoning!

Despite being a regular customer of Sea Sweet for many years, after my recent experience I will definitely not be back.

My experience was absolutely appalling at Sea Sweet Greenacre. I purchased a mixed Ashta tray for over $75 that ended up untouched and in the bin. After purchase the sweets were refrigerated and taken out for a dinner party that same day. Whilst opening the box, there was a noticeable bad smell coming from the sweets that resembled cream that was off or out of date. The smell was so overpowering that I feared food poisoning if I ate it. The lady fingers were soggy as though they were made days ago and the other sweet items had a sticky liquid coming out of the cream.

I attempted to return/ replace the items at the shop the same night. I was met with extremely rude staff members who spoke over me and accused me of not appropriately refrigerating the item despite informing them otherwise. They then proceeded to deny any smell existed despite it being very apparent. One staff member risked tasting one of the sweets and immediately had a look of disgust on her face, proceeding to the back room where she could not be sighted. The staff were yelling and speaking in a highly aggressive manner. There was no regard for the customer and no attempt at finding a resolution. The entire tray was left in the shop to be thrown out and I returned home empty handed and with no refund.

I informed the staff that I was not comfortable eating from the tray due to the toxic smell as I risked illness. The staff responded by stating that in the event that I was hospitalised that is the only circumstance they would consider a refund/ replacement. They were highly dismissive and rude in their demeanour and responses.

I requested that a fresh item from the lady fingers be brought over for comparison to the soggy item in the tray. After great hesitancy one was brought over which showcased a clear distinction. The shop item being crispy and fresh while the purchased item was soggy and extremely doughy.

I am extremely disappointed by their inexcusable treatment, poor quality product and disregard for food safety. I will definitely not be visiting Sea Sweet Greenacre again, despite...

Very ugly service. I asked them if I can taste a little bit of there ice cream but no one bothered to answer me so I just left the store. Yes most of their sweets are very nice to eat but this isn't a good review for you, your sweets are very expensive. I mean come on... 6.90 for just one small cheesecake cup? You're out of your minds and need professional help, especially because the lady there was speaking very rudely and very bluntly. My dad was with me and started to laugh saying they have no reaction. And still they decided to put there heads down and ignore us. I mean cheer up girls, the world isn't that bad so don't over do it with the customers because you're unhappy and have no experience or good people skills whatsoever. Not only that but before I even arrived I called them and the lady was screaming at me, I mean like chill out, I was just asking you about what time you close not to jump off a cliff. Customers, please don't go to this place, it's not recommended. If you do you would be disappointed and not get the rightful service you need and will definitely get yelled at by immature young teens who don't know how to work properly. No wonder why they don't have any Customers so they have no one to blame...

Worst customer service ever. And money hungry people. the first time I went to to this shop after asking for 300g of baklava I got told that im going to get charged for half a kilo or by each so I had to up my amount to halfa kilo not that I care about the money but I didnt need that much baklava. Second time I asked for a kilo and half for a party and she gave me a price of $26.90 first and after I went to pay was told $27.90 because I selected the baklava. I said OK but then I was charged $43.80 for a kilo and half and when I asked why am I getting charged $1.90 extra . I was passed on to the owner who could understand English abit better , I was told that kilo is charged separate and half killed was charged at $15.90 separate. and when I asked why he said its the way we charge ans the system doesnt let us change it and I told him you are not the system and you know I bought a kilo and half to which he replied that's just the way it is... I don't care about $1.90 so I shook my head and walked off but these people obviously don't have any customers so they see the need to...

I was serviced by a lady named Danya today. I usually wouldn't comment about this BUT I had cleaned my car either this afternoon and was hating myself for orderjng icecream ill need to eat in my car and have it drip around but you live once so I ordered 3 scoops. Theeee wayyyy this woman scooped my ice cream so neatly and perfectly, all 3 scoops on one cone was no issue for danya. I usually have to ask other places to stop filling up my cone or lessen it but this lady knows what she's doing. Conversation was so polite, genuine, friendly and without a doubt, the ideal customer service any business would crave for in their employees. I come here each week with my little one and the team never fails to have us walk out smiling. Thanks seaweed crew and mainly danya today xx

I wouldn’t even give them 1 star Disappointed and Heartbroken I had a truly upsetting experience with this Branch. I was on my way to pick up a cake for my son’s birthday and called ahead as I was just about to arrive—literally at 10:59 PM, just one minute before closing. Unfortunately, the person I spoke to was incredibly unhelpful and rude, repeatedly saying there was nothing they could do. I understand closing times, but the lack of empathy or willingness to accommodate—even by a single minute—was deeply disappointing. All I wanted was a birthday cake for my son, and instead, they ruined what should have been a special moment. A little kindness and flexibility would have gone a long way. I won’t be returning

I was serviced by a lady named Danya today. I wouldn’t even give them 1 star Disappointed and Heartbroken I had a truly upsetting experience with this Branch. I was on my way to pick up a cake for my son’s birthday and called ahead as I was just about to arrive—literally at 10:59 PM, just one minute before closing. Unfortunately, the person I spoke to was incredibly unhelpful and rude, repeatedly saying there was nothing they could do. I understand closing times, but the lack of empathy or willingness to accommodate—even by a single minute—was deeply disappointing. All I wanted was a birthday cake for my son, and instead, they ruined what should have been a special moment. A little kindness and flexibility would have gone a long way. I won’t be returning
