Shady Pines Saloon — Restaurant in Sydney

Myself and 3 other girlfriends attended this venue tonight. As I entered the venue, I went to the ladies room but misjudged the door handle and to the staff member “jay” this was considered “intoxicated” even though I had only had 3 wines at another venue beforehand. I obeyed his instructions and sat with a Diet Coke for an hour as my friends continued to drink. During this time my friends were getting louder and at one point fell off of their chairs and yet Jay insisted they were still able to be served cocktails and a bottle of wine and even chatted to them at one point at the bar whilst they were ordering. I was still not allowed to consume any alcoholic beverages. This should all be visible on the security camera. At no point in time was he fair or considerate and during a time where business is absolutely crucial, this type of behaviour need to be reassessed. Jays arrogance and judgment lost money for this business. I can guarantee this venue will never be on my list again. Before I start let me tell you a story: I was driving my way home from a gala when i realised I required the refreshing taste of cough medicine and lemonade. As i drove the streets and alleys in search of this liquid gold I came up empty. That is, until I spotted a burly gentleman guarding an un painted door. When I enquired into the premises, and walked down the oak stairs i found what can only be described as atlantis. A paradise.

I promptly ordered a juice and whiskey and all sorts of miracles occured. My vasectomy was reversed, my hair grew back and I began speaking a hybrid german/arabic infusion language despite barely being able to speak my only native tongue, english.

The next day I awoke from my slumber, surrounded by 25 women all over the 150kg weight range (my favourite). I learnt my worse enemy had died in the night due to mysterious circumstances.

So, in conclusion Shady Pines is the stuff made of dreams. Come inside, and you might just find yourself waking up ankle deep in the softest living blanket you have ever experienced.

"I don't tell you how to do your job, so why are you telling me how to do mine?" This is what I was told by the bar tender lady when I complained that my drink was weak and lacked a suitable amount of spirit. I paid $10.50 for one drink of vodka and coke! for this price surely you would hope to taste some alcohol in there, however this was not the case and was rudely told by the girl behind the bar. This is a cool underground bar with nice decor and lighting. It is also out of the way from the main cbd area so be sure to be prepared for a walk to get there if you are coming from the inner cbd. The staff behind the bar were also mucking around too much and not focusing on the waiting customers! i'm all for having fun while working however when you neglect your customers that is a 'no no'.
