Today we went to this restaurant. At first, we saw a table near the window and asked the server if we could sit there. Surprisingly, the server told us it's for four people, not two. I thought that was reasonable, so we sat at a table for two. But a while later, an elderly couple came in and sat at that table for four, even though there were only two of them. I asked the female server again why we couldn't sit there but others could. She responded that their friends would be joining them shortly. However, from the time they started dining until they left the restaurant and paid the bill, their third friend never showed up. When we sat down to eat, the first thing I noticed was that the food was taking a long time to arrive. So, I asked the server if she could hurry the chef up a bit. However, the server replied that he couldn't rush it since they had a limited number of chefs. His tone and attitude were quite off-putting, but I didn't say anything because this sounds reasonable. However, I later noticed that the guests who arrived after us and sat at the table next to us received their meals before we did. I don't understand why we arrived first but got our food later. Than, our food came, and I had ordered a soup with bread. The bread was completely burnt. I told the server, and she gave me was as if to say, "Is burnt bread not edible?" Still, she begrudgingly brought me a fresh piece cause another server noticed the situation and ask what happened. When it came time to pay, from dining to checkout, the server's face remained cold and she looked displeased. We felt very uncomfortable, and she was extremely rude throughout the meal. At the time of payment, she didn't ask if I wanted a receipt or how I'd like to pay. After I handed my card, she looked even more displeased, swiped my card, and what’s it. I felt that the female server in the black outfit was discriminating against us. During our meal, my friend with me has noticed that she asked all the other customers around us how their meal was, if it was good, and things like that. However, she never asked us and even rolled her eyes at us several times. I was very unsatisfied with this dining experience. We originally planned to have some desserts, but we quickly finished our meal and left. Throughout the meal, others received his smiling service, while we only got his arrogance and rudeness. So I really want to ask the reasons why she behaved like this? We also genuinely expect a reasonable explanation and an apology from your restaurant.

A Refined French Dining Experience in the Heart of Sydney – Manon Brasserie is Pure Elegance From the very first moment I approached Manon Brasserie, I knew I was in for something special. Nestled along the bustling streets of Sydney's CBD with a prime view of the historic Queen Victoria Building, Manon instantly evokes the feeling of being transported to a grand Parisian brasserie—polished, elegant, and full of character. Though it’s set in a high-traffic area, stepping inside feels like a true escape. The interiors are stunning: marble-topped tables, brass finishes, soft lighting, and floor-to-ceiling windows that let the city’s energy flow in without disrupting the calm, refined atmosphere. It’s beautifully curated—equal parts romantic, stylish, and inviting. The menu is a love letter to French cuisine, and every bite delivered. I was genuinely impressed with the quality and presentation of the dishes—from the freshly baked bread to the rich, flavourful mains and the beautifully delicate desserts. Think perfectly grilled steak frites, buttery escargot, silky duck confit, and classic crème brûlée done with finesse. Each dish was executed with precision and full of depth, yet nothing felt too heavy or overdone. You can tell the kitchen takes pride in balancing tradition with a light, modern touch. The wine list is equally exceptional, featuring a thoughtful mix of French and Australian bottles, with helpful staff ready to suggest perfect pairings. Whether you’re after a bold Burgundy or a crisp Chablis, you’ll find something to suit the occasion—and the food. What truly stood out to me, though, was the service. The staff at Manon were fantastic—friendly, polished, and incredibly attentive without ever being intrusive. It’s the kind of warm hospitality that makes you feel welcome and valued, and it elevated the experience from great to truly memorable. Even though I didn’t dine at the most traditional hours, the level of attention and detail remained impeccable. There was never a sense of being rushed, and every element of the experience felt intentional and considered. Final thoughts: Manon Brasserie is a standout in Sydney’s dining scene—a perfect blend of style, substance, and soul. Whether you're looking for a long, luxurious lunch, a quiet coffee and pastry break, or a romantic evening out, it hits the mark. It’s not just a meal here—it’s a moment. I’ll absolutely be returning, and next time, I’ll be bringing friends so they can fall in love with it too.

Me and my friend came in this morning as I was craving a for hot chocolate, the place was lovely to be fair is also in a perfect location. We set inside , ordered breakfast I ordered Croque Forestier and I got instead croque madame, my friend asked for Poached Eggs Meurette, but got breakfast cassoulet instead , we got the food and of course they didn’t bring us cutlery, so to get the attention of the waiter was a bit challenging but finally I managed to get their attention, then when we realised we wanted more water for the table and took forever to get their attention by then we realised wasn’t what we ordered so I called them again to check the menu as we wanted to double check if we made a mistake or was actually them, anyway the waitress that took our order said that the menu for breakfast wasn’t available as was lunch and we said we want to have a look as we think we got our order mistaken , she didn’t bring it and said that my friend order the cassoulet and I said I order the mushroom but I got ham, her reply was sorry and left. Went to pay she made sure to come and make us pay but we asked again for the menu to have a look and she was like u guys order that and I am sure as I wrote it down, and I said u didn’t write anything down in front of us when u came and we wanted mushroom and my friend wanted spinach and eggs not beans and sausage, anyway they didn’t care they kept saying sorry and I paid 60 dollars for a breakfast that we didn’t eat as we left everything in the plate, my friend didn’t feel like sausage and beens and I don’t like ham, but apparently they didn’t care to fix the problem, also the door lady or manager heard about us complaining about but pretended that she didn’t know, I know that she knows as she asked to the waitress why is happening. Definitely very disappointed and looking how low is the rating on google makes sense, can have lots of potential but service...
