This place is recently opened in my neighbourhood and today finally I gave it a go. The owner/chef is by himself therefore the food might take a while to be ready. He is quite kind and has a positive attitude which I really appreciated. Service is friendly and menu has great selections. We ordered an item from each menu section just to give everything a try. Chicken karaage as a entree, a small grilled salmon sushi and a chasu tonkotsu ramen for mains. When we came at about 5.30, the owner was busy cooking for an online order so it took him a few minutes to greet us. After ordering, it seemed that our food took a little long to cook so he kindly offered a free dish of steam gyozas to keep us happy. Shortly after the gyozas came, our mains are also ready. The tonkotsu broth is just average but the chasu is soft and tender with good flavours. The grilled salmon nigiri was fantastic, very flavourful and sushi rice was perfectly cooked. The tuna sushi roll was good as well. Please check them out if you’re around and you won’t be disappointed! I’ll come back to try out their other...
Read moreI passed by this place countless times for a very long time and was not sure whether to go inside. The decor was simple. It looked like the food might be average and it was quiet but once I had their food today, it was the best decision that I have ever made. I was trying to think of where to eat for lunch and decided to give this restaurant a go.
Their California rolls were amazing, so good and fresh! It’s the best sushi that I had in a long time, and I am impressed they are of such good quality. Before I had sushi (which I decided to try after reading the reviews on Google), I had katsu udon and it was enjoyable! Love how it looked, it looked so appealing! Although it’s quite expensive, the food was good. And their green tea was also good.
Don’t let the decor deter you from trying their food. I love its quietness and I can look out from their glass doors. Lovely to see the world go by.
Highly recommended. Will definitely come here again the next time and will also bring my family or friends. Double thumbs...
Read moreMy kids and I loved the food here, not sure why I have never been here before. We visited on a weekday possibly out of normal lunch time. The place itself isn't anything special to look at, just a simple inner West eatery. No gimmicks or any attempt to be fancy.
Only one other person came in while we were there so it is hard to comment on the atmosphere. There was only one person working there as far as I could tell, but we were greeted by what I could only assume was the owner.
We ordered the black garlic ramen, some goyoza and rolls. Everything was beautifully presented and smelled amazing when it was served. My son and I loved the ramen, very tasty 😋. While I personally did not try the other dishes, barely anything was left on either plate, which is a good sign.
We all ate and drank for $48 which is unheard of these days. I would most definitely recommend this place...
